I would like to see CLU host a playoff game but highly doubt that is going to happen. I don't mind traveling to Linfield for a game, but would rather watch the game in the SoCal "winter" instead of the cold weather in Oregon. From what I remember during last  years game, which isn't much because of the Linfield Defense that got to me a few times  :-[, it was a little too cold. But then again, this year I might be able to have some of the famous drinks that the wildcat faithful enjoy before the game  ;). K4 has told me about it.

Those "drinks" are as good as mythical to me ... Yes I have heard a lot about them but rumor has it the CLU Police squad may be the only ones that know whether it really exists.

On my way back to the OC from Sta. Barbara I swung by just to check something out - yep - there is a dead zone on the bank of the Solute River over by the chapel where GHC was forced to dump 'Ol Blue.

Although it is just a projection, it shows Cal Lu hosting.  I see conflicting opinions on here, where would they host?

Pat Coleman

We can only go with what we know for sure to be a fact. The rest is everyone's speculation. Cal Lu has earned the right to host and that is what we projected.

Would they host on campus or at Moorpark JC?

Sounds like they're going to give it the old college try. From the Occidental Weekly:

QuoteOn Saturday, Nov. 13, Occidental will take on Cal Lutheran in the last game of the season.

[Nate] Sullivan believes Occidental is up for a challenge. "Cal Lu will be the best team we've played all year and they're playing for a trip to the playoffs, so if we don't bring our 'A' game it could get ugly," he said.

Despite the potential drawbacks, the Tigers are looking to upset. "The team gets to come out as underdogs and hopefully get to play spoiler against the conference champions," [Daniel] Singh said.

The seniors on the team are especially eager to make their final game one they can look back on with pride.

"Personally it is the end of my football career that has lasted 14 seasons across 6 teams being involved in over 100 football games (and literally thousands of practices). All parts of the team (Offense, Defense, and Special Teams) need to step up and give it all we got," [Alexander] Josephs said in an e-mail interview.

Hopefully the Tigers will play well and not Occidental weakly.

ULV defeats Whittier 49-23. Happy for the Seniors to get one on the way out. See ya next year and good luck to the Regals in the playoffs.
Hail to the Orange, Hail to the Green,
