Cal Lutheran 24, Oxy 0

CLU's defense looked tough against Oxy. The Tigers couldn't get anything going on offense unless you count punting as an offensive stat. It seemed like all of Oxy's big gains were on cheap shot CLU personal fouls, of which there were several.

Cal Lutheran came out ready to play. They took the opening kickoff, ran their scripted first series very well, and went right down and scored. After that the Oxy defense played pretty darn well, I thought.

CLU should get the ball to Eric Rogers as often as possible. The guy's awesome.

Sad to see Mt. Clef Stadium go. Great fan venue.

Another beautiful fall afternoon and a festive crowd to see off old Mt. Clef Stadium made for a very unique experience from the fan's perspective.

Cal Lutheran came out ready to play. They took the opening kickoff, ran their scripted first series very well, and went right down and scored. After that the Oxy defense played pretty darn well, I thought.

Except for the opening drive of each half, Oxy's defense had an excellent performance.  Too bad the score does not reflect their effort.

Chapman goes 4-3 vs SCIAC teams this year . Chapman was ahead most of the game vs Redlands but lost it late in the 4th. I guess This  Chapman did indeed compete against SCIAC teams this year. Will Chapman be part of the SCIAC next year ? I guess will will wait until April 2011 to find out.

Cal Who at Linfield in 1st round. No real suprises that Cal Lu would travel despite being a highest seed.....I guess next year Cal Lu could host if they win and the new stadium is ready to go...

We're not struting.

Sure you deserved to host, but it's not our fault CLU didn't have the facilities/didn't bid/had their bid rejected. You can't expect us to be sad that we get to play another one at home.

Linfield hosted playoffs for both baseball and football this year because of superior facilities over the SCIAC.

Cal Lu could host baseball if they added lights in the future. With the new stadium for football for Cal Lu it could also host
football in 2011.
