Both PLU and Redlands were robbed.

The primary purpose of setting the playoff brackets is to eliminate the SCIAC team as soon as possible. The SCIAC will always be robbed, screwed, and cheated. Whatever the selection committee says to the contrary is a flat-out lie.

And your proof ... evidence ... substantiation of that is .... ?

In case you have not heard, Coach Hammer was fired from Whittier today. I for one while sorry to see anyone lose a job, am glad he finally got the axe.

In my opinion..... Hammer was only loyal to himself. If anyone was around to see how he treated his predecessor, Coach Carlson ..a real football coach....would have an insight to the real Hammer years ago.. He was famous for throwing his players under the bus as an excuse to cover his short comings.

His BS no longer could cover his ineffectiveness as a recruiter, motivator and coach. Whittier Football will be a much better place without him.

The President and AD have built first rate facilities. It will be no problem getting a real college football coach at Whittier. The school deserved much better than what was just kicked out the door.

"So ... Reggie Bush, Cam Newton, and Dale Widolff walk into a bar..."

...where they met CLU linebacker Clayton Cardenas, who had just come back from a strip club. "I just got lap dances," said Cardenas, "and no one was shot this time."

After a time at the bar, Cardenas suggested that the group join some of his athlete friends from CLU and go around the neighborhood stealing items from unlocked cars, but the other three men declined. The group then left the bar, where they were confronted by CLU wide receiver Clinton Panton, who adopted a fighting stance and flicked his lit cigarette at Cardenas, hitting him in the face just below his eye.

Some guys are just not championship caliber.

I forgot to mention that CLU running back Daniel Mosier showed up with Clayton Cardenas, but then Mosier left for personal reasons.

Not surprised at all. He had plenty of time to right the ship at Whittier and just didn't get it done. When he was promoted to Head Coach I thought Whittier had the right guy to lead their program.

Good to see the administration is serious about putting a winning product on the field. It's going to set the program back some though but probably for the better in the long run.

The Hammers are a very nice family and we appreciate their efforts. I wish BJ and family well.

Kingsman4...will you be able to make it to McMinnville?

If so, would you be willing to help assuage my guilt for not having returned a library book, Transfer Strategies For the Junior College Player?

I could get it to you one day delivery but I need to know today.
Thanks.

Good luck to California Lutheran Junior College Extension Program.  Don't forget Rent-A-Center's football player policy: they have to be returned at the end of the season, with the exception of damaged players (Mosier) and felons.  Those have to be returned early.  Otherwise have fun playing in the CatDome CatAwning under the watchful eye of Jumbotron Hypnocat.

I am amazed by the back-biting and vitriol aimed at a player who, as far as I can tell, had to drop out of school to help provide for his family.

Students drop out of college all the time for this reason and I don't get why there's so much holier-than-thou on this board.

I'm sure they will have a ton of fun playing in Oregon, probably even more than hanging that goose egg on Oxy last week, giving them a sweet 4-5 record on the year.

You are not amazed.
Did you ever print the why when you found out he dropped out to help his family?
How about a feature on one hit wonders who influenced your pages so?

My understanding about Mosier is that the problem is financial.I do believe he is still enrolled at CLU but only part time and hopes to be back next year. Will some please enlighten me on all the hate about jc transfers. Are these kids just to walk away from playing after playing their 2years? With all the junior colleges in socal there are alot a kids looking to play a couple more years before calling it a career.

By "damaged" I just meant that he had a broken arm.  Seriously though, should be a hell of a game.

If his performance was "damaged" .... I would hate to see what would happen if he was well.
