Talk is cheap!!! Let's go!

Linfield has the advantage. Home Field, Home crowd, Home Cooking, Turf, Possible Rain, History, Tradition and cold weather with mid to low 40's weather. Sounds like the West Regionals for Baseball back in May.

May be too many things to over come for the Purple team from SoCal.

This... is a simple game. You throw the ball. You hit the ball. You catch the ball.  "There are three types of baseball players: those who make things happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened."

CLU congrats on a great season.  You gave the Cats a good football game today.  You'll be tough for us to beat next September.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Cal Lutheran:   Great game.   You have a class act and have a very good football program.   I know you could have beaten many of the other playoff teams.

The current system clearly does not select the best 32 teams in Division III.

•   This year four conference champions received bids with overall win ratios of only 70%, 60% and 50%.

•   At the same time, three teams with only one loss were not invited to the playoffs.     They would have been more competitive in the playoffs.

PLU and Redlands were robbed this year.      All conferences are NOT equal.

While I agree that the system is not perfect and that teams like PLU/Redlands would beat several playoff teams---I will again diagree with your statement that they were robbed.  That, to me, implies that they earned a spot in the existing system but got left out anyway.  They had their shot to win their conference and a Pool A spots and neither did it.  Once that happens, they are left with Pool C and neither of them earned a pool C spot based on the system in place.  I know your point is that the system should change and I agree with you on that.  But neither of these teams was robbed of a spot this year---IMHO.  And who cares at this point--it's all about Cats vs. Tommies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Looks to be a good one.  No turnovers and no more stupid penalties.
Go Cats!

Please, PLU almost lost to a very, very bad Hamline team in which both Bethel and UST beat by over 50 points.

That's only because Hamline's coach is a Linfield Alum and he brought his best game against the Lutes! :)

Just heard that Coach Ankeny has been fired. Unconfirmed.

Nice man. Four year record: 4-32. Not much to work with at ULV.

OxyBob

What do you mean by not much to work with? Isn't part of his job to recruit?

Maybe OB is referring to facilities...without them recruiting harder.
