For the Bulldog fans who are starved for info on the upcoming game against Whitworth, here's a great write-up on the Pirates' website comparing both teams and giving a bit of history.
Redlands Game Notes

What? Redlands couldn't score better than North Central's 86 today?

Sitting in the airport on my way back from the UOR vs WU game .... knowing the Dawgs can't beat CLU playing like they did yesterday!!!  They have some work to do the next few weeks. Enjoy the win, but we need to be better prepared for the next game.   Waaaaaay to many penalties!!!   :P

Good stuff as always. Was looking at some of your other albums and found with me in the press box with Pat Coleman from the Linfield game a couple of years ago. ;D

What's with Mary Hardin Baylor ranked #3?  They beat McMurry by one point today. McMurry loses it's first game of the year to Stephen F. Austin 82 to 6. You brilliant DIII minds out there, is there any chance they will lose their # 3 ranking after this game? I would not be real upset if somehow Linfield got to move up a notch. Is there any possible chance of that?

Doubt it--we didn't even play this week.  However, I would not be shocked if MHB fell down a rung or two and ST. Thomas and or Bethel moved ahead of them...And by the way Stephen S. Austin is a D1-Championship Subdivision school as is UT-San Antonio who McMurray beat last week.  So McMurray may not be as bad as you think...That being said MHB has squeaked by the last two weeks and may lose votes because of it.

The Wildcat Faithful are looking to move up in the D3Football.com top 25 poll.  The Wildcats need a "snot wooping" to get them up a notch or two . . . so my question for the Wildcats is, how much "snot" do the Wildcats think will be needed to be "wooped" from the Leopards for each notch upward on the top 25 poll?   ;)

Pat Coleman

I can't imagine any amount of whooping Linfield could place on La Verne that would move them up past a team that didn't lose.

Pat, you're right, of course.  But this weekend #3 Mary Hardin-Baylor is playing Hardin-Simmons which dropped down to #21 after its loss to Mississippi College.  MHB just got by McMurry by one point.   The ASC is very competitive this year.  The Cowboys will be playing at home and could bounce back and pull an upset against a less than spectacular Cru.

You haven't experienced D3 Football to the fullest until you have witnessed Stoonk roaming the field shaking hands and kissing babes babies.

Redlands is ahead of Cal Lu in the polls.  Cal Lu is playing at home (at their new stadium?) when they meet the Bulldogs on Oct 1.  Both teams have two weeks to prepare.  Based on their records so far, the Bulldogs appear to have the more explosive offense while the SoLutes have a more dominating defense.   The Cal Lu defense will keep the Bulldog offense off the field and their offense will score just enough to win.  :)

A little bored this week River?  Bye weeks suck, eh?  As for your analysis---I think Cal Lu actually has a very (and possible more than Redlands) explosive Offense.  Last week they just shot themselves in the foot several times in the first half or it could have been a total blowout against PLU.  Redlands seems to execute a little more consistently but I don't think they have the raw talent of CLU.  Both teams play pretty good defense though.
