He is still leading the NCAA in rushing. Here is an article on him from this week:

Tonight should be a good test for him! Lets get another win.

kingsmen -4 .Cal Lutheran shut down Mr. Luke Sweeney who had 25 touches and gained "only" 56 yards. He could not rack up big yardage against CLU  2nd,3rd,stringers who played almost entire second half. I was not impressed by Luke and wonder how he was averaging over 200 yds per game.

How'd that Rogers fellow do?
I think the passing game had the day off (only 14 attempts).  On the other hands, Oxy threw the ball over 70 times in their near upset of Redlands!

Thanks.
K4 would prefer if they threw to Rogers 25 times.

I watched the game and it really was never in question and no reason to throw the ball.  Moshier played less than a half and the 2's,3's and 4's got a lot of time.  I really felt kind of bad for P-P and am so confused by the SCIAC.

Cal Lu needs a miracle to come back on Redlands, Oxy loses to La Verne, Redlands needs a hail mary to beat CMS, Whittier drops one to CMS by 1, Oxy misses the 2-point conversion that would have tied the game with Redlands.......so many crazy games and nobody seems to know what will happen each week.

Yeah--though I think CLU is the real deal.  They lack some consistency but when they are clicking they are scary.

25 times a game would be fine with me. That is an issue though when he is only playing 2 quarters, right?

The second half of the redlands game i blieve was the kick start of
clu. while the competetion has not been all that great, the team has been able to do whatever it has wanted to.they have worked in some new d looks that should help should we make the playoffs. the o has been only stoppable when we stop ourselves.this team has become ALOT more consistant than at the  begining of the year,(penalties excluded ,we have always done these well).

Could not be prouder of the way Oxy played last night.  On paper (or even a casual glance at the size of the respective squads) they should have been rolled.  Instead, they played with heart and intensity and matched Redlands score for score and stop for stop.  As with most close games, it would be easy to identify a dozen or so plays that could have changed the game's outcome--it did not come down to any one play.

Nice effort by Oxy; had the audio streaming, and was with them right up to the end.  Looking forward to the Tigers' visit to CMS in two weeks.  Should be an entertaining game involving two very different offenses that do well what the opponent's defense doesn't necessarily defend well.  Could be some fireworks.

With all this being said the true dominant team of the SCIAC will prove its worthy of a top ten national ranking by dismantling the Mudd-Scripps on Homecoming.  Claremont has 4 players with over 275 yards rushing including Quaterback Peter Kimmey.  I will say that their 224 average rushing yard per game will be kept under 150 and CLU will dominate the game.  Their offense will roll all over Claremont with long strikes to Rodgers and a three TD first half from Mosier.  Claremont may score a few garbage points at the end but it will be another big day for CLU on homecoming.
45-10 CLU  :)

if its 45 the starters may see more than a half,i kinda like the 50+ thing we have been on.D has been playing really well, i hope they continue to improve each week like they have been.

Hopefully the Homecoming atmosphere will not be a distraction and will help keep everyone motivated to win at home. Claremont has snuck up a few times in the past and is much better than the last 3 teams we blew out - I don't see another blowout this week.

Starters will not be done at half, but we will MUST get the W.
