wholly crap, looking at the schedules, I was reminded that the last season the kid played was 2008 and three seasons have finished since his last snap on the field..damn, time flies

What's the scuttlebut around Oxy about this, Bob?  I must say that I find it quite surprising.  My son (now CMC '15), considered Oxy very, very seriously, and they were quite attentive to him.  During the course of 3 visits over two academic years, every single contact we met--Bill Dobson, Phil Kleckler, Eric Bergstrom, Rocky Ciasulli, and Coach Widolff himself--seemed thoughtful and responsible, not to mention a helluva lot more motivated to run a decent program than somebody like, say, Tony Candaele, the longtime coach at CMC.  Is this yet another case of a pin-dick AD who can't stand the success of a first-class football coach.
