Great game between the Cats and the Kingsmen yesterday. Nice to see the Cats at #3. Regarding the Kingsmen, very rarely do we see a top ten ranked team lose and then go up in ranking!! That speaks volumes of respect for both CLU and Linfield football.

GO CATS!!
Lost in things I love most: the Universe, a good woman, and LINFIELD FOOTBALL

Just got in from T.O. and felt i'd put my 2 cents in about the game.I felt the biggest difference in that game was the cats ability to tackle.i dont recall CLu breaking one tackle and the CAts broke alot.these 2 teams are very evenly matched and the stats seem to agree.another big advantage the cats had was their o-lines ability to give Inns a good amount of time .the cats rb is also very good. The upside for Clu is the problem areas they have are very fixable and i believe they will be as the season goes on.Great game by two very good teams, glad to see both move up this week they deserve it.

CLU loses and gains a spot in the rankings.
Is this a great country or what?

I do seem to recall a missed tackle on that 68 yard scamper that "mighty mouse" (can't remember the RBs name) had :)  .  Also, let Ramay slip through the fingers a few times....but pretty good tackling.  O-Line for Cats played well for sure--Cal Lu's DBs played pretty well--didn't give up too many big hits and forced a sack or two with great coverage....very good game--too many penalites on both teams (though some of that was over-officiating).   The biggest difference I saw this year compared to the game 2 years ago was that the Cats had gas left in the tank late in the game this year where they seemed to run out late in the game 2 years ago--Big difference there!
Go Cats!

As one famous football fan told me at the CLU-Cat game  "The tight end is always open "  The next thing we know is that there is a completion on the field to the tight end.

Great to see you again O Bob.

Phone it in !!

By the way, where is K4 ?

I would have thought he would have hooked up with us at the pre game or game.  And yes we did tailgate the joint , were having beers and security came by,  actually ate some food with us, asked if we were drinking beer, with a smile, and took off.  Nice guy..

So K4, what was your take on the game ?

I still am amazed that your coach didn't go to your big WR more, that guy is a supreme athlete.. Just my 2 cents

Ramay did throw at Rogers 20 times and he got 10 of them. CLU has him listed at 6'4" but he looks taller than that, especially when he goes up and over DBs to get the ball.

Play action pass, throw to the tight end all day long. Len Dawson made the NFL Hall of Fame doing that.

I should have "detoured" to the CAL LU - LINFIELD game, it sounds like a great game!  The U of R game, well, what can I say..........it was a long drive home!

So the guy had a typo. You still lost right?

Right. My mistake.  I still feel badly about Linfield's 49-14 loss to Wesley in last year's playoffs, by the way. (Or was it 49-34?  Oh hell--either way, you still lost, right?)

The margin of defeat for the Stags on Saturday at Rhodes:  36 inches.

(509)Rat is a fan of Whitworth.  Yeah, Linfield did lose that game to Wesley and it stung.  I'm sure being a fan of CMS that you became numb to that losing sensation years ago.

Glad you didn't get your jug dumped this year ... We were in the parking lot tailgating, didn't see too many fans from either team where we were. B-Ball and water polo tourney parking kind of messed up the Saturday morning football vibe in my opinion.

My take on the game:
1.) Didn't throw to #4 enough (regardless of the 20 targets on the stat sheet, should have thrown it to him 30 times. And when we throw it to him 30 I will ask for 40 ... That type of talent is a once in a program history type of stuff and I still think we should utilize it more) ... Everyone saw what happens when you throw it to him deep, it doesn't matter if he is double covered. I don't need to beat the dead horse any more than I have with this point for the last 3 years, but it still kills me not to see him getting more deep looks to stretch out the D.

2.) CLU didn't make the plays needed to win the game. Those plays being a missed PAT, a botched punt, big 3rd down stops on D when it counted, and being able to run the ball to kill clock.

We were right there, but still can't be sloppy on the fine tuning type stuff ... one point will come back to kill you on a go-ahead TD/PAT.

Concur.  I was surprised the school let it all happen at once. Homecoming too?

I did not bother you like GHC (sorry we missed you though) because I can just imagine the nightmares you have about field goals at the end of a really, really, really important game.  ;D

If you're going to try and be a smart a**, at least get the team right...amateur
