last nights game was a little odd (boring),CLu played well on offense(kept it pretty basic) but there is a huge blueprint for moving the ball against the D,i guess im just not use to seeing these types of games .The past few years Clu was always pretty stout against the run,oh well its a win and all wins are goooood. :D

I was surprised to see so few stags out there.

Claremont has 45 players on its roster, fewest in the SCIAC.

I can remember when they almost gave up football.  I hope they can recover.

whats the reason for so few players? how many kids quit? They were pretty good last year.

PP only had in the low 40's on the sidelines when they visited Chapman earlier this year. I was told that they have a hard time scrimmaging with such a small roster and injuries.  I give them a ton of credit, as they never quit during our game with them, although it was obvious that they were not going to win.

Chapman scrimmaged CMS before the season, and it was obvious that they tired for lack of depth. I hope that they keep the program.

I would agree that heart is not a problem ,but the fan support is pathetic.

We were invited to their camp a year ago. Of all the camps my son attended, theirs was the most cerebral, with some known academic experts lecturing. Football was clearly second.

I know its not like high school where you have a huge local base but it is embarrassing that not even their student body shows up. There couldn't have been more than a few dozen Stag supporters there. They dont even charge to be there so what is the excuse?  I see a couple thousand showed up at Chapman/Oxy. That is respectable. Around the corner from CMS Whittier/Pomona only drew 750. Wow.

Speaking of attendance, wasn't there a post a year or so ago regarding the story of Pomona's "ficticious" attendance reporting?
(Maybe OxyBob or one of our other veteran posters. ) All reporting seems to end in 47.

Plus K!
And thank you.
Most visiting teams have more players than Pomona fans.
Please notice that I did not refer to our "veteran" posters as "old" posters.

Hold it...how do you do it. It is 9:13 in Orange, Ca and I am or should be tired. You are a couple of hours ahead of me and still
posting. Granted that I took my "little" brother (63 and just retired from ISU in Bloomington-Normal Illinois) to downtown LA today..Olvera street, Chinatown, Union Station and all the hot spots. He is sports nut and said something about USC so I surprised him and added that to the tour. USC is also next to the Coliseum and Sports Arena and Olympic Pool. As we traveled that area the traffic was unbelievable......they were just pulling the Space Shuttle Endeaver into the parking lot next to the museums that are next to the sports complex. I told him to get out and get pix, which he did. He was withiin a few feetwhen he took a bunch of pix....made his day and trip. My blood is still surging. Otherwise I would be asleep by now. What is your secret for staying up?

Anyway, I am happy that I made my little brother's trip. He comes out every year for 3 CU footbal games with me. I love it.

Please email me your secret to staying up late. Cheers!

Gray Fox

The secret of staying up is not to go to bed. ::)
Seeing the Endeaver sounds really cool.  I assume it will be outside like that jet plane they already have there.

Yes, it will be displayed outside in the blastoff position.
