2010 was CLUs fault, but i sure loved Mt. Clef.Bottom line for CLU is they got to win in the playoffs, thats all they can control.

CLU's 4-year contract with Linfield ends in 2013 and the word is they're in talks with UW-Whitewater for a home and home 2-year deal beginning in 2014. Be interesting to see if they can make it happen.

For anyone that voted for or believes Ramay should be CLU's starter moving forward, I'd love to hear your rationale.

The case for Ramay I would say is he manages the offense a little better. Dont forget the loss to the Cats wasnt an offensive problem. He runs better than Shultis but zach throws a better ball. The one knock i would have against zach is, in pressure situations he seems to always pass towards eric (open or not).I think kevin goes through the reads better. Now all that being said CLU will not go wrong with either one, both are very good. To me CLu will only be  good against better teams if the defense plays better.SO I VOTE FOR BOTH ;D

I was going to edit the poll to have Rogers as a choice.  That way he gets the ball on every play.... :)
Go Cats!

Saturday's SCIAC schedule:

Redlands (4-3, 4-1 SCIAC) @ Pomona (0-7, 0-5) 1:00 p.m.
Whittier (3-4, 2-3) @ Oxy (2-5, 2-3) 7:00 p.m.
La Verne (3-4, 3-2) @ Cal Lutheran (6-1, 5-0) 7:00 p.m.

Non-conference:
Chapman (5-2) @ Claremont (0-7) 1:00 p.m.

UR has beaten Pomona 7 straight. Make it 8.
Oxy vs. Whittier in the traditional game for The Shoes. Oxy has won 4 straight and 16 of the last 20. The tradition continues. Oxy wins again.
CLU is too deep and too strong for La Verne. The Kingsmen win easily.
Claremont hasn't been this weak in years. Chapman will win this one. It'll be an 0-8 vs. 0-8 match-up for Claremont against cross-campus rival Pomona next week.

Anyone know why some teams play 10 games and some play 9? Is that a conference decision or can each individual school choose? I'm just curious as to whether 8-2 looks better than 7-2 to a panel.

I haven't seen any evidence that there's a difference between nine and 10 games. For the SCIAC, it's a conference rule. They're the only one that still has one but when we started in the late '90s there were a few more conferences that played just nine games (CCIW, MIAA come to mind).

In the NWC, it's permitted to play 10 games but pretty expensive, so most schools don't.
