QuoteCongratulations to all the ALL-SCIAC players.

That was my Code Blue.
I knew it was coming.

C-LU, you're not preparing some kind of ring thing, are you?

Can someone explain Hurst being named 1st-team All-SCIAC at QB and Shultis not even making the team?

What is even more baffling is that Matthew Biggers was named to the first team when he's only a La Verne running back.

Congratulations to all the ALL-SCIAC players. LR was nominated by his coach, but I guess the other coaches didnt feel it :) We are proud of him regardless and had a great time this year watching he and his teammates play hard all season. Hopefully the Poets can build on the momentum they built this year.

Even though LR is done, Ill always have my eye on the Poets and the SCIAC

Fun stuff..thanks to all of you for making it even more fun
We have all enjoyed your posts.  Don't be a stranger to these boards.

FTP, there is no rule that says you need to leave the boards once the kid stops playing. Stick around, keep up the banter and keep joining in on the Pick 'em.

Bitter much? Chad Hurst should have been on the 1st team last year too. Cal Lose is Who we thought they were.

Congratulations go out to the All-SCIAC Bulldogs - these young men all played tough against NCC each of the past two years.  No QB controversy here - Chad Hurst's performance against the Cardinals was brilliant last year.  North Central was a bit better prepared for him this year (and Redlands was significantly impacted by several key graduation losses from last year's defensive unit).

There are so many statistics that make this selection comical I won't bother to list all of them.

Passing Efficiency- Shultis 3rd in NCAA Division-III, Hurst 5th...in the SCIAC.
TD/INT Ratio- Shultis 24 TD/3 INT...Hurst 16 TD/8 INT.

All kidding aside...please make a logical case for Hurst. I'm all ears. You can't even make the Heisman argument that he was on a better team.

I'm not bitter, just confused.
Cal Lu Class of '93 and season ticket holder for 40 years. My parents were class of '67 and '68 and I grew up on the campus. Go Kingsmen!!!

Really rfb, between jake and hurst last year you cannot be serious. To call CLU ( cal lose) what the hell does that make redlands ,5 year losing streak doesnt give you much room to talk. At least CLU made it the last 4 years. Losing to linfield 3 of those years is nothing to hang their heads about.( at least CLU answered the phone)

RFB

Cal Lose is based on 20 years of personal reflection. Hopefully the Who wore their black uniforms against NCC, that way the crap stains won't be as visible next year.

cludad

Crap stains?, the dawgs lucked a victory last year against ncc . play linfield a few times then maybe you can pop off.(Ncc is not Linfield)

Cal Lu just got destroyed at home by NCC. You have no leg to stand on.

And NCC had more first downs and much more total yardage than Linfield.  Cal Lu was not fortunate enough to have NCC commit SEVEN turnovers (about half were definitely giveaways rather than takeaways).  NCC would be among the elite if they didn't have occasional horrible problems hanging on to the ball - 'occasionally' happened last year against Redlands and today against Linfield; it did NOT happen this year against Redlands or Cal Lu.

cludad

CLU had lots of d problems half way through the year. losing to Ncc for me was expected (cant stop the run wont beat ncc).At least CLU had the chance to be in the postion to play after the regular season was over.5 years and no victory against the kingsmen i guess really makes you bitter.get over it, one day the dawgs will beat CLU again.
