Bob makes an little jab about Redlands complaining about the officials. Olddog responds that UR wouldn't complain about the officials and then spends 1/2 his post complaining about the officials.

wildcat11, didn't you know that Redlands has never lost a football game because the other team beat them? Redlands always has some flimsy excuse, lame explanation, or feeble reasons why they lost. Their never-ending arrogance and trademark hubris won't let them admit that they got beat by a better team, so instead they let the excuses fly. Heck, in this case olddog makes flimsy excuses, lame explanations, and feeble reasons why they WON.

Woof woof woof.

4 wins in a row and counting. Woof woof woof!

Bob I can not wait to hear your response, you are like a dog that has been beaten down. So my post in past two loses have basically said our offense killed us and we were not the better team but you just make up what you think I have said to make your post sound better. I thought this was not that kind of board but when you are old sometime one thinks they can say what they want.
"Old Dog makes flimsy excuses why they won", not surprised you are missing the point! UR clearly was 50 points better than Oxy because they have zero linemen, even your stud tackle got put on his rear and had to go out of the game, by a backer 50 pounds lighter., that was pay back for a cheap shot by him earlier in the game..BTW. My point is two issues, the offense is not getting it done and made some poor decisions...so I am disappointed  and when the officials (of which I know more about than you ever will) are being lazy I will call them on it. Football is a tough game and the players deserve the official's best effort. If you do not like my observation no need to attack one, just ignore it.

Nice to see Eric Rogers getting a chance again.  I am sure he will love Portland, WASHINGTON ::)  A little editing never hurt anyone.

Is CLU really that big of a favorite this weekend?  Seems to me that both teams are struggling but what do I know?

Cal-Lu QB Deen was 17-23 for 238 yards, 2 TD's  and no INT's in the Kingsmen's 42-7 win on the road against P-P. Not exactly what one generally characterizes as "struggling", but perhaps I am out of touch with the current slang lexicon of all you whipper-snappers here! 8-)

Just keeping my fingers crossed that Redlands puts forth a real resolute effort tomorrow in Thousand Oaks.

Jack,

Many thanks for the link to report of Eric Rogers.

All the best to such a great SCIAC athlete as Eric was.

Cheers!

"resolute" - when LINFIELD beats California Lutheran for the second time in a season.

"renolute" - not so good.

Quite an interesting contest at Claremont.  CMS jumped to a 22 – 7 halftime lead before Oxy reeled off 31 straight points.

Appeared to me that Bryan Scott, Oxy's replacement QB for Tommy Edwards, is still settling into the job with significant assistance, of course, from RB Kwame Do who racked up 145 yards rushing along with 25 receiving and two TDs.

CMS scored 8 in the last minute to make the final score 38 – 30. With only three seniors in their entire starting lineup, the Stags might well move into the top half of the conference next year.

With 5 games remaining and a current 2-2 record, Oxy has a realistic shot at a winning season, with the last game against Laverne being the crucial contest (assuming that Oxy's chances against Chapman and Cal Lu are not great).

Oh, please.  This is the second consecutive year that the Stags have suited up fewer than 50 bodies, of which perhaps 35 are competent players.  And they've continued to lose upperclass starters as the season has progressed.

As long as Kyle Sweeney is at the reins, Oxy books at least 2 wins a year, and CMS's only real chance is against the Sage-chicks.  I hope that, somewhere, Coach Retz is getting the last laugh.

Bellotti misses another one.

solutes score. Redlands fumbles 1st play. Solutes go to 1 and fumble. Missed field goal.
