RFB,

Did this UR represent better than the LF game ?
Less than two more years of Gavin.

Jack Parkman

Hmmm, Mac finally called Chapman by their real name.  Maybe he is finally trying to avoid giving even more bulletin board material than he already has?

Yes, but my criteria for evaluating the program falls outside of SCIAC results. Don't get me wrong, it pleases me to see the Dawgs monkey stomp Cal Who. It's time though for the program to take a leap and to start competing nationally with the top programs. Redlands and Linfield are just about identical in regards to tuition, admissions, etc. Why does one school have a top five program and the other doesn't?

How many football schools (any division) are within a 500 mile radius of Redlands? I know there are quite a few CC in California that may take some talent. Then Linfield has a rich tradition of athletics and  a lot of backing from its administration and community.

All of California, Arizona, and Nevada for starters.

Only SCIAC for D3, but small colleges are hardly known in the west like they are in mid west and east. So kids don't know of that option.

Without looking it up, there are probably over 100 schools within that radius.
And there must be at least 50 CC's within that area as well.

UNR= unranked?  That's the only thing I can think of.

I would go with unranked. I did email Ben M for clarification.
But, if it does refer to unranked, that could be considered bulletin board material

Note: UNR is short for unranked has been confirmed by the author.

that makes sense...coach Mac's habit of snark made me read too much into it! 😀

LINFIELD has tradition that is tied to THE STREAK.

For instance, this weekend is homecoming and the coach that started THE STREAK, Paul Durham (dec.)  is being honored by ex-players, long time fans, and Oregon community with a statue monument paid for by the people since February; about $75,000.
LINFIELD's sense of family is a point all coaches stress.

The past seems ever further away now than it did at the end of last year.

I know what you mean. But St. Scholastica is 6-0.

Aside to the guy who dings my karma every day. Thank you for the supreme compliment. Think about how flattering that is to me. Every day you get up, take a shower, put on your training bra and your pink panties, and your blouse and a skirt, and your frilly socks and Mary Janes. Then you prance to your computer, log onto D3boards, look for my last post (which was 12 days and 2 pages ago), and, after waiting the requisite 24 hours, ding my karma. Every day. Every day I am on your mind. Every day you think about me, and care enough to make a daily effort to ding my karma. Thank you, sweetheart. Thank you for thinking about me.
