I'd recommend looking in Minnesota and Chicago for an opponent -- lots of places with direct flights from LAX.

Not many  teams in the 50 to 100 ranking want anything to do with playing UR and the West Coast trip.

It takes a lot of $$$ to travel and play these games but we are talking like UR is the '72 Dolphins and everyone in the country is terrified of them.

UR is feared far and wide from Banning to Perris to metropolitan Corona and everywhere in between. Haskell Indian Nations vowed to never set foot in Redlands again.

DW is not walking through that door. Looking forward to six wins in a row in ER next year.

Linfield flew to CA twice this year to get good games but that is not something that would be common at all.

Two flights isn't common? Whitworth averages 2 flights per year...

Not in the SCIAC it isn't.  I don't know the last time any SCIAC school had to fly twice in one season (on their own dime).  I do know PLU will do it and I just looked up Whitworth and see that they do as well.  That's the commitment, or lack of, that I am talking about.  I am sure every coach in the West would love to have that type of opportunity to travel with their team.  Hell, Whitworth is probably on the biggest island possible in the West.

D O.C.

Happy Thanksgiving! to the vanquished, the double vanquished, and the solutes.

After the last few Oxy/UR games Oxy should follow Haskell's lead.

Noticed SCIAC all conference came out. Props to all the dogs especially the o linemen, who don't get much pub but have been great Dawgs, "Hinkle, Moreno, and Alford. We'll done boys.

I did notice the Dawgs have 6 all conference players back so maybe Oxy Bob is right about Haskell.
The dogs return their Qb jr, corner soph, DE soph, DT soph, LB fr, and kicker jr.
Best part is our best d linemen was hurt this season and our best RB was hurt too.

Saw on "Football Scoop" UR is still looking for a first game (D3 game only) , so maybe the Menlo rumor will stay rumor. Hopefully, Jan NCAA conference shakes something out. I see GFox needs a game, I am surprised Oxy has not pounced on them for a game.

George Fox (Not Gray Fox) is a natural rival for Whittier if they can work it out.
