Perhaps. That stadium is in a little holler.

New solute field with the waiting-to-maim south wall was 95 out that day.

Hold the fort! I'm trying to make a run to the gym before kick-off.

RFB can go to sleep a happy man tonight.  Good game but Redlands out-coached Cal Lu at the end.  I thought Cal Lu should have gone for it twice on 4th and less than 1 but they decided not to.  I guess that's why I am sitting in my living room and not holding a clipboard.

Is the cost to stream games really so much that schools would charge the same as admission to the game to view, sometimes sketchy video streams of bad teams? I was hoping to watch Whittier & Oxy this evening. Not going to spend $10 to do it. I wonder if viewership has stayed the same or gone down with the charges. I feel pretty confident viewing hasn't gone up.

True. But I would be willing to hand over a 10 spot to see a game live. Something about just being there, even if the crowd is small.

my point was that if they don't generate attendance at the games there is no way many folks are paying to watch online

Pay or no pay this game wasn't worth the attention
yup. I have live stats up on the other monitor.

I believe Occidental charged MCat $10 at the gate and wanted $12.99 on the net awhile ago.

UR wears down CLU....

A little slow getting up this morning, what a great old school football game.  This game was 12 round fight in 99 degree weather. My hat is off to the Regals and my pups. Both teams were ready to play, it was a brawl, their are some sore football players this morning. The Regals offensive line is vastly improved from last year, their backers and db are good. The Regals are a ton better and will be very tough next year.

The key to this game was three issues, they are subtle but what it took to win this game.

The heat got to the Regals the last half of the fourth. UR has practiced in 99 to 106 degree weather at least 10 times. UR just had more pep at the end. Hence they made more plays at the end.

The second edge ball control and clock management. UR stopped trying to go outside and just went man on man, up the middle dive option. Coach Maynard managed the clock well at the end of the first half and game.

The last key was UR front keeping the Regals under 110 yards rushing. The Regals never broke off a long run, forcing the qb to make plays with his arm. UR d line showed up with three sacks, many hurries, and a forced fumble. The return of Keyser to the d line added a lot of speed and energy.

All in all a great small college football game.
Less than two more years of Gavin.

Pretty much sums it up.  VERY physical game but I have one thing I can't really figure out in regards to Redlands (who I have watched once).  Why don't they use Tanguary more?  I think he is much, much better than Appleton in every way.  Is it more of a 'thunder and lightning" deal where Appleton has more speed and Tanguary is more power?

UR had a great game plan in the 2nd half and I agree they had a little more juice at the end of the game.
