Big push for diversity at UR, multiple standards for entry, not sure if the correct approach to the issue. One ethic group called for lower tuition  rates for minorities with like needs, i.e. tuition should be tiered based on color, interesting times. I guess reverse discrimination is not a vocab word in their club. Have not heard if UR is going to get a space zone yet.....

I hope this isn't true, if so I'll be ashamed to be an alumnus of UR. Everything is under assault right now, just look at what Disney & JJ Abrams did to Star Wars. They should rename it Star Wars "The Feminist Awakes", the original trilogy had its balls cut off.

As a dad with two daughters and one son, I thought it was perfect. Football might be the realm of men only, for all intents and purposes, but life isn't.

Of course that had to come from a UR alum.  Well done Pat ... Plus K for you.  And  Merry Christmas too.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Yep.. being white and embracing your natural masculinity is looked down upon and shamed in today's society. I'm not going to conform or apologize to anyone. If calling out victimhood disguised as diversity and the "you go girl, girl power" embarrassment remake of Star Wars gets me flamed, than so be it.

I'm all for embracing my natural humanity. You can embrace what you want but I'm glad you recognize that you might just get called out for it.

Fair enough, Pat.

Point Break remake...now there's a mistake. That was perfect the first time around. Right DOC?

D O.C.

Not a fan of PB.
The flying suit part might be good in the new one.

It was bad the first time.
Sure, but in all the right ways (like Keanu's acting). Cult classic.

The original is a classic, no need for a remake. Raise your hand if you're exited about the Ghostbusters reboot (shaking head)?

So you want movies not starring women? I hear Brokeback Mountain was critically acclaimed.  ;)

The white knight is strong in you, might want to get that looked at. But since you asked, I'm all for women in leading roles, but come up with some new and original content, not butchering classics from my childhood.

BJ Hammer named Head Coach of Allegheny College.  Best of luck to Coach Hammer

I mean no disrespect to you or your Poets and you've probably already encountered this but every time I see your log in name it absolutely cracks me up.  The Milwaukee Bucks "Fear the Deer" is funny enough but "Fear the Poet."  That's on a whole different level. Carry on, long live the Poets.

Great.  I have several cousins in Meadville.  One works in the admissions office.
