QuoteThey are not as big as the past seasons, but the quickest team I have ever seen play D3 football. They have a stud in the three tech at tackle that almost stops inside run single handed

Oh boy...wait till you see the UMHB defense...

I watched them work over the Kity Kats ....and I went back and watched more games on demand....holy cow

Go Poets!  lol

Program has sunk to below rock bottom. They used to field some competitive teams, but the product they put on the field this year was embarrassing. I went to the Redlands game at Whittier and could not stop shaking my head. The support for their program is apathetic in all facets, including their stadium, which needs a major facelift.

WC has been poorly ran on all facets the last 20 years. They missed the boat on modernization too. Its too bad, it used to be such a well respected school.
So far what I have seen done at the last 5 years is so so. They used to have so many wealthy alums invited to their games.

Luckily, my son played in the glory years of two 4-5 seasons haha (mixed in a 1-8 as well)  On a serious note, Whittier College has been wonderful to our family and we met and have kept many friends from our son's time there.

We love the school and the people.  The football program pains me, but I will keep hoping for them to one day turn the corner.

Just an FYI for any Redlands fans making the trip to Texas. Updated weather forecast for Saturday's game between Redlands and UMHB at Crusader Stadium in Belton: Clear skies with the temperature at kickoff around 58 degrees with a north wind of 10-15 mph.

Pretty brief bios for LINFIELD and Redlands on the bracket pages. Downright dismissive for the Bulldogs.
Safe travels. Bite 'em!

Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Way to go Redlands! You stood toe to toe and traded blows all day, which is all that can be asked. Very proud of the effort, so don't hold your heads down at all. Learn from todays disappointment and build for next year. Go Dawgs!

Redlands walked up, sucker punched the big guy and didn't run away.

Redlands has 11 coaches.. UMHB has 17.

Are you counting from the sidelines or from their websites? Just curious.

Yep. Too much speed and power, it wore Redlands down. A great season though, a lot to be proud of.

Hats off to Redlands. The boys from California came ready play and left in all on the field. Much respect from this UMHB alum.

It was a good year for the Dogs. I thought we had a chance to pull off what would have been maybe the biggest upset this old guy has seen.
In the end the MHB qb ran the RPO to perfection. I think the turning point in the game was when UR missed a wide open WR for a TD on the double pass towards, 28-7 make MHB throw the ball more in the second half. It was obvious UR wanted them to throw the ball vs. running their RPO.

I love the fact UR never gave up, even when down tried to rally. I thought the lineman spot on 3rd down should have been on the three inch line not on the two yard line. Horrible call and critical to the game. Maybe we should have kicked fg to make game a once score margin, but Maynard was going for broke.

In the end the Dogs represented the SCIAC very well and proved they are a top 25 team, so I can careless about the Midwest D3, I would put that team against any team in the country and they would know they were in a battle. This team played real hard.

Honestly I was hoping to get LF in the first round, we matched up better speed and size wise. I knew this team was different than the past playoff teams. If and buts were candy and nuts everyday is Xmas.

Happy Thanksgiving D3 Football.
