Or sandle, which most of the student body will be wearing.

Did hear UR picking up a few more JC kids than usual, last year a couple JC kids helped a lot. UR is now making an effort in that arena. Tough deal since classes do not transfer well to SCIAC schools.

Here's a plan for the 2018 crimson/grey season:
A) schedule LINFIELD in SoCal 1st game
B) have JC running back roll all over them
C) say nothing about where running back disappears to

Wait! Forget it. That's not original.

Two-a-days about to be eliminated.
I know the Leo's suffered injuries last year during 2 a days. Knees, concussions, etc.
Not sure yet how to feel / what to think about this yet.
Coaches are going to have find more creative ways to get players ready.
Safety first I guess.

Go ask about John Gagliardi on the MIAC board.
Perhaps Leo coaches have read the books.
No full contact practices period.

Just a point of clarification.  It's two a day contact practices that are being eliminated.  The number of two a days allowed are set by the NCAA but within those limits teams can still practice twice a day.  Teams could have two noncontact practices or one contact, one noncontact in a day.  If a contract practice is held there is a time interval which must be observed before the second practice can begin.

No two a days will affect schools where the president is tight with funding. Most schools will need to extend camp a few days in order to get some real practices in.

I am all for player safety in terms of concussions, but some of the rules that are changed for safety are turning the game into two hand touch above the waist. It will be all about speed in the next few years.

Currently not actually legal in Division III, just FYI.

This season the start date for camp has not changed but it is predicted to be moved up in the future and hence more days a school has to pay for 100 players room and board.

Yeah, it's a big cost to take on an extra early week of camp.  Most college administrations are not thrilled to pony up for that.

How so?  Just wondering.

Basically the NCAA determines when practices can begin, how many practices are allowed, including how many two a days are allowable, how many practices before you can scrimmage, etc. etc. etc..   Extending camp would require that they change their rules and they haven't done that.
