The fact is, over the past several years, Whittier has been an awful football program.  Their record is the proof of that.  The fact that they pulled in 90, even given that there will be dropouts, I am amazed.  I would've bet 65-70 tops.  Maybe this is a turning point, of sorts, for them at least being competitive in the bottom half of the conference in coming years.  This year it would be tough to see them even getting 1 conference win until you factor in the implosion at Oxy...now the Poets have a legit chance to win a conference game.  If this team won two conference games, then our new guy should at least get a couple of CoY votes.

That other classless crap is typical RFB...I can handle it.

Do you need a Kleenex. Maybe a midol for the cramps?

Once again skewered by your rapier wit...what's next, "I know you are but what am I..."?

Your replies are as soft as Whitter athletics

Your replies are as predictable as another Redlands 1st round playoff exit   :P

Fear the Poet 63

Nobody with a brain would come on here and say what a wonderful program Whittier has been, but I can say that my son graduated from there and loved his time and met many lifelong friends and mentors. Its not all about the football. That ends and life goes on.

Having said that Coach Neale has brought a lot of kids in and I can only hope they are moving in the right direction. For now, I'm just hoping for a win or two  It's rough being a Poet fan, but I will stay strong  :)

RFB is just still bitter he was rejected by Whittier and had to settle for his safety school.

JV games are stupid, just line up your best 22 and lets go.

Former Oxy student Barack Obama didn't think much of JV teams either.

He found he wasn't good enough.  He could shoot from outside but lacked on defense.
And he always drove to his left.

The above were actually basketball comments And no pun intended.

Of course REV is on top for playoff wins, the program is led by Kurt Bruich (Redlands Alum).

...I told myself I was gonna let it go, but poor formatting and the fact that it's just too easy...

Anybody who knows anything about football in the IE, knows Kurt's experience on how to win a playoff game could not/did not come to him from the UofR...that came to him from FoHi and his Pop, Dick Bruich.  Time to move along now...

But just in case you don't, please read the link and see if you find any reference to the UofR in there.

Easy there tough guy. I played with KB, and know plenty about his Fathers legacy at Fontana HS. DB is a legend, and KB is living up to his Fathers reputation at REV. KB helped establish a winning program and culture at Redlands, one that still continues today. We can't say the same for Whittier now can we?
