Easy there tough guy. I played with KB, and know plenty about his Fathers legacy at Fontana HS. DB is a legend, and KB is living up to his Fathers reputation at REV. KB helped establish a winning program and culture at Redlands, one that still continues today. We can't say the same for Whittier now can we?

(The tune of Glory Days playing in the background...)

I had no idea your delusions ran that myopic...UofR had a winning culture well before you (or Kurt) ever got there...Check with guys like David D'Arcangelo or Butch Edge or Nipper DeRoo.  Or Frank Serrao, Jim Verdieck, or Ted Runner...so they may have lost their way for a couple of years with Ken Miller...  UofR history does not begin in 1988.  Dude, you aren't Mr. Redlands.  (But I might be...)

As for Whittier - I think it's pretty cool that both George Allen and Don Coryell coached there.  10 conference titles from 1980 to 1999 don't seem too shabby.  As for lately, the Poets have struggled.  They don't need to win a football game to prop up my ego, I'll proudly root for them anyway.

The banter on here is more entertaining than actual football games  ;)

Coach Finstock - "There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that and everything else is cream cheese."

I'm well aware of Redlands proud football history, so I will revise my comment to reestablishing a winning program/culture under Mike Maynard. Regarding Ken Miller, he was a great coach and even better person. He didn't have success as HC, but he was a phenomenal coordinator and I loved playing for him. And congrats on being Mr. Redlands! Do you have a title belt or something you wear around?

Can anyone get me a Redlands-Haskel Indian Nations football program?

Thanks in advance.

howdy from the Southern boards. Met someone from Chapman up here in DC. Anyone got a handle on what the general campus culture/vibe is at Chapman? I feel like liberal arts colleges on the West Coast have vastly different cultures (could be wrong)...

The students run around in their underwear every so often...I don't think you're wrong.

Never heard of them. My selective amnesia seems to be kicking in.

Chapman has a film school and a law school to be jealous of by other institutions.
How much more SoCal can you get?

Not to mention that Chapman is smack dab in the middle of OC, or better known as hot women central. What's not to like for a young lad leaving the nest to go to school and play some ball.

Um, that he gets his jock handed to him by LINFIELD?

Good start to the season for Redlands. Defense looked great, and the kicking game was lights out. Offense looked really rusty, but not surprising for the first game of the season. George Fox will be a very tough test, so two weeks to prepare and work out the kinks. Go Dawgs!

Non partisan observer--I agree.  The defense looked very good and/or Trinity's offense was not good at all.  Really impressed with the Redlands kicker especially on the long field goals.  On offense, Redlands had at least one RB who hit the holes hard and the QB and WRs were occasionally in sync for a nice gain but overall the offense did not impress.  I watched George Fox yesterday as well and I think it could be a really good matchup in 2 weeks.
Go Cats!
