I made a post in the NWC board that it seemed like the Chapman team made zero adjustments at halftime and that was the reason behind the lackluster second half. It has now come to my attention that the coaching staff, at least on the offensive side of the ball, actually made ZERO adjustments at half. No scheming, no changing blocking assignments, nothing at all.
I have now seriously lowered my expectations for the offense this season knowing that teams can simply make adjustments at halftime and come out and shut the Panthers down.
This is a simple case of adapt or die.

Yes, she needs to go.
Unfortunately she is not going anywhere.  She is a personal favorite of the president.  She withstood the storm of anger that came with the firing of Widolff.  She plays the politics game well and fits into the Occidental College agenda.

Feel bad for the Oxy alum and a warning to all programs (even Linfield) that a change in admin and especially the AD is more important that who the football coach is. I'm praying the new Linfield president will be a pro-athletics person.

D O.C.

Pray LIINFIELD had their brush with an arrogant feminist when they hired that woman from Willamette who turned around and sued them for Title IX violations.

What the hell is going on at Oxy?

I count 49 players on the roster, including 21 freshmen. Perhaps one of you who played can please explain how, with attrition by injury or otherwise, a team can make it through a 9-game season with only 49 players.

On a happier note, it was reported to me that this year no Oxy students vandalized or desecrated the 9/11 memorial put up by the Occidental College Conservatives Club. (Occidental Conservatives. Now there's an oxymoron if there ever was one.)

Check with Finlandia (not the Vodka, Butter, or Cheese).  They show 25 on their roster...but they only show a 6 game schedule including the Lewis-Clark Valley amalgamated team with their self proclaimed NCAA affiliate status.  Still, Finlandia in the last couple years lined up against the likes of UW-W, UW-O, UW-SP, and Wartburg (with predictable results). Methinks they have kids still in recovery from those games hence the thin roster this year.  They play as an independent but get league affiliation next year...assuming they can field a team.

You can't leave me....all the plants will die.

49 would be not at all the smallest roster in D-III any of the last 10 years.

So true Cat, UR's new president is less into athletics than the last and it shows. He is not against them just far less interested. They dropped their GA program this year. I am sure due to cost.

That is too bad.  GA programs are a great opportunity for young coaches.  I went through a GA program at Oxy.  The program paid for my Masters.  They dropped the program a couple years after I completed it.  I don't know if it was ever reinstated.

Nothing on the Oxy job board for GA positions, but cook and cashier jobs in the Cooler are available.

I just noticed as spanky as RFB can be, his Karma ratio is 3:1 to the positive. Mine is almost 1:1...oh boy
