Oxy football is now 2-0 this season on Saturdays when they don't play a game.

Here is a copy of the letter sent by parents of Oxy players to the Board of Trustees:

I feel that it's going to either be a change in leadership at the AD position (but per the letter it sounds like the Oxy president is supportive of the AD) or the football program could be damaged beyond repair, especially with a combative AD.

Swarthmore and Colorado College are the only equivalent schools to give up football that I can remember.

In addition to any other issues, Colorado College had a problem with travel expenses and who to play.  They were out there on an island as far as D3 competition is concerned.  Swarthmore sounds like more of an indifference and commitment issue both of which seem at play at Oxy.

Indifference (if not outright hostility) by the AD and (lack of) commitment by the administration - other than the stand lip service.

Did anyone really think Oxy admin would do anything to the AD, come on folks...this is the same group that let the kids on grants at this 66k school,  protest in their offices with wifi so they could order food and coffee.

The only way any change will happen in terms of athletics if the alumni donations are impacted. O/W the liberal inmates will run the asylum. Money talks...the end.

I just check vegas line and Whittier is now the favorite in the "Shoe Bowl"

Like I said before the only way to wake them up is in the pocket book. What do you think my message back has been, no way will I support this one sided thinking and I predict it will only get worse the school is so liberal now. Hopefully I will be dead before we turn into Oxy but I doubt it. This is the same president that leaves at halftime of the games. After Maynard all bets are off for UR.

I was really hoping the letter would include a mention of why Semones "retired".  Especially, since the letter mentions that players quit the team, but remain as students on campus.  Which came first the "retirement" or players quitting.
