it was one thing when they cancelled a non-conference game, but now they've pulled the plug on a league game.

I would think the right/fair thing for the SCIAC to do is to declare that games against Occidental don't count in the conference standings for 2017, in case they cancel more games. Maybe Oxy should just call it a season and try to repair (if that's even possible anymore) the damage to the program. Sucks for everyone involved inside and outside the school.

From the Homecoming Weekend schedule of events:

1 p.m.
Football vs. University of La Verne
Patterson Field, Kemp Stadium
Cash-only tickets available for purchase at the Jack Kemp Stadium box office starting at noon: $10 adults and Oxy alumni; $5 College and high school students (with ID); $5 children ages 6-12 (with parent); children 5 and under and Oxy staff and students (with ID) are free.

Tickets are were $10 for adults and Oxy alumni. Unless they completed college before age 18, aren't all Oxy alumni adults? Is Oxy insinuating or just flat out saying I am not an adult? Were I a precious snowflake I'd be offended and take over the administration building.

Oxy needs to just cancel the rest of the season and not screw the other schools like they did Pacific and now La Verne.  Absolutely embarrassing for the entire school, but the AD is doing a hell of a job and the President supports her.

Oxy will cancel the PP game and "recover" in time for the Whittier game...the one game that they probably believe they won't get too beaten up and think they have a calculable shot of winning.

A few years ago they were contenders, now a joke.

Pat explained the forfeit thing to me about the Pacific game.  There is no forfeit unless the game is played.

I was curious why Oxy did so well in the first half of their first game.   Mostly UPS screw ups..  Oxy many times went three plays with zero yards.
