Heeelllllooooo Chapman, anyone here? You do know you're in the playoffs, right?

The one Chapman fellow who showed some enthusiasm in the pre-season disappeared after the LINFIELD game.

Forgot about him. Come back Chapman supporter, the Linfield crew will be nice this time, DOC promises.

The fate of these playoffs is pretty much decided, MHB on a different level. The only question left will be does the SCIAC repeat last year and play MHB a lot closer than the NWC...if they make it to Belton for round 2.

I like the Panthers and Coach Owen, very nice man...so I am rooting for them. Maynard should make every dog watch the game, pitiful UR laid an 2017 egg. Talent on paper sometime does not mean execution, despite not bringing a safety over the top and helping our corner, Panthers out played us.
Less than two more years of Gavin.

Hello All,

I have been in the process of moving so i haven't had time to keep up with my Panthers on this board. I have been supporting the team the whole way from a distance but haven't been to a game all year.  :-\  Unfortunately my name OCguy doesn't work anymore as i made the move to LA. I was excited to catch the Oxy v Chapman game but the AD at Oxy has it in for the program. I am sure she thinks that woman's tennis deserves the same recognition and support as Football which as we all know is nonsensical and irrational. (Nothing against woman's tennis, its just not football).

I couldn't be prouder of the Panthers team for showing up big time against a tough Redlands opponent and finishing strong by beating a big CLU team and a quick Claremont squad. I know that this story has one plausible ending. UMHB is about as good a team as i have ever seen. I think we may hit a few quick passes, maybe even open up strong like we did at the Catdome a few years back. Until CU starts bringing in big time recruits who can compete on the national level the 10th game of the year will likely always end in Oregon or Texas. The playoffs are exciting for the team. They get to travel and go play in yet another great D3 stadium. That experience is unmatched and i wish the young men making the trip safe travels.
As for coach Owens, i am worried this may be his final game. He has turned this program around and has been the back bone for two SCIAC championships in four years. However, you can not deny that the man is getting up there in years and with a championship in the books already it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he passed the program to either the OC or DC and went out as a champion.

Give em Hell Panthers. Who knows. The football gods often work in mysterious ways. If we can get to the 4th quarter down by one score, i think we have the explosive offense to maybe get lucky.
This will not be my last post as we are finally settling in, ill be around in the off season and through out next year as we look to REPEAT as SCIAC CHAMPS!!!! (that feels great to type)

Its always a great day to be a Panther.

Repeat ends at Ted Runner next year, but best of luck in Belton on Saturday.

Game notes from the Cru SID. Looks to be a great matchup on Offense for the Chapman O vs the Cru D. Looks like Chapman gives up some yards and points on D, so hopefully our Offense can get going.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

OCguy

Those are great game notes. I think this is a great match up offensively for the Panthers. The offense that Linfield handled in the second half of the first game has been vastly improved and is clicking. I expect a couple very competitive series.

I am really looking forward to watching this game, hopefully they don't rob me blind for the live feed like those Cats up in OR.

I believe OCguy NCAA mandates playoff video a freebie.

UMHB's live feed is really good. Multiple camera angles, HD video. The Chapman feed is better in that they have the lead in with the two announcers who are there for TV coverage. The UMHB feed is simply the in stadium broadcast with the radio feed piped in. The broadcasters do a phenomenal job. There are a few areas where the feed could be better.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

If the game were at Chapman there would be no field replay screen. They don't even have a small scoreboard opposite their big one.
They have the $$$ and I expect they will have one soon.
No offense CRU, but you know I have to root for a 1 point Panther upset.
FAT CHANCE.

OCguy

Chapman is currently in the process of building their new Science center which will also act as the other half of their stadium so i am assuming a replay board is on the back burner right now. That being said Chapman's Athletic department has done a great job on the facilities for the Chapman Athletes and nobody is complaining. When compared to the rest of the SCIAC, Chapman's stadium and facilities are top notch.

I like what Chapman  is doing with their stadium...reminds me of a Case Western feel.
