Chapman is currently in the process of building their new Science center which will also act as the other half of their stadium so i am assuming a replay board is on the back burner right now. That being said Chapman's Athletic department has done a great job on the facilities for the Chapman Athletes and nobody is complaining. When compared to the rest of the SCIAC, Chapman's stadium and facilities are top notch.

I like what Chapman  is doing with their stadium...reminds me of a Case Western feel.

Ted Runner is still the crown jewel in the SCIAC. The prison complex, I mean Ernie Chapman stadium has a long way to go to merit "top notch" facility.

I've been to both---Ted Runner has great grass but the stadium (especially for visitors) has a high school feel.  Chapman's stadium is nice and fancier than Redlands but you are way too far from the action (IMO).  Both are nicer than the other SCIAC venues I've been to (LaVerne, Claremont, CalLu, and Oxy) but having not been in the locker rooms and other facilities I can't comment on which one is actually the "top notch".

Ted Runners grass playing surface is as good as it gets, and that includes all football programs nationally (DI-DIII). Grass is way better than turf, and safer in my personal opinion. TR has ample seating for all visitors, a nice track/practice field, and has a beautiful mountains backstop for a view. Once they upgrade the scoreboard and lockers rooms it will be no contest.

The seating is ample but not particularly comfortable--the mountains are not a factor for night games---but the grass is really really nice.  Like most things--this is a matter of opinion and/or personal preference.  The bathrooms are much nicer at Chapman :)

The seating have never bothered me. Sounds like you're getting a little soft in your old age. Lol

The fact that I can compare the bathrooms is evidence of that.... :)  I blame hanging out with DOC and CalCat for my premature aging....:)  The best thing about Ted Runner is having the visiting coaches sitting right above the visiting fans.....adds to the entertainment value

The bathrooms at Chapman are the best. While i know this isn't a completely rational determination of a quality venue it is worth noting.

Ted Runner does have great sod.  I'm surprised it's green considering smog you have to choke down all game long.

Oxy has the best artificial playing surface. It's in pristine and like new condition from no one using it.

What you experienced was a little thing we call "Inland Empire Haze". It's good for you, really clears out the lungs.

Oxy has the best mood lighting in the conference as well.

Great place to take a first date. She will be impressed by the lighting and having the whole venue to herself for a romantic evening.

That is exactly the description they used when they put it up on Craig's List

Next time you go to Casa Blanca for a Friday night romantic dinner, wear shades, sit in the back seat, have your wife drive by the stadium and report back if it's true Women's Lacrosse lines have been painted with the soccer lines on the turf.

Chapman is sterile because of the prison look and distance from the action. Ted Runner one can get down to the end zone and heckle the opponent and get into fights Berdoo style.
