P.S. The new SVHS coach Jim Benkert was shown the door at Oaks Christian. Benkert was replaced by Mike Sherrard (UCLA-Dallas-SF-NYG-Denver), who was formerly an assistant under Bill Redell. Redell is an Oxy legend who came out of retirement to take over at Oxy after Dale Widolff was wrongfully fired. After one lousy 2-7 season, Redell quit and was replaced by Semones.

I got an email to come to an athletics alumni function at Oxy next month.  The email still list basketball coach Brian Newhall as the Interim Athletic Director.  Athletic Director Jaime Hoffman took a medical (stress) leave during the whole football program cluster.

I guess bringing her wife and dog to the big "what the heck is going on meeting" did not help her stress level. All the tough business meetings I ever had bringing bad new about budget busts or returns not being what we hoped, I never thought to bring my wife....speaks for itself

If LF is now at 57k, If I was a parent/kid and wanted to go the Liberal Arts route, I would try to attend CU,UR,CMS,Pom, and Oxy (I hate including them) over all the NW schools other than PS. If it academics was my prime consideration. Obviously each school's aid varies too and thank god I don't know all the intel anymore...UR has great aid if you are a minority since their goal is 50/50 by 2020...that is a fact parents should jump on it if possible
