At least Oxy has a roster up.  Redlands plays tomorrow and they can't put a roster up?  Let alone a game preview.  Guess football doesn't mean too much.

Redlands is notorious for getting their roster up at the last minute. It used to bug me, but not anymore. It is was it is, and a published roster has nothing to do with how serious Redlands takes football.

Wow... caught Chapman V. Pacific...I have just realized the Chapman has a perfect weapon to defend our nation. Their playby girl who has no idea what she is saying was so damn annoying I was ready slit slit my wrists...here is exactly what it was like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7eD1JZFvCY

Not know the difference between Offense and Defense. for instance, receiving a punt, Chapman (in her mind) was defending so well on that play letting the runner gain some yardage and Chapman's defense covered so well....sigh

I don't mind who calls the game, but please at least know what your talking about. And I was so tired of hearing how happy! the players were, their spirits were high, and the Pacific was Sad because they were behind. Even to the point saying that it was almost like Chapman should give Pacific more chances to score....

Good on ya chapman, I mean the team, cut that girls mic please.......

Chapman looked dominant. Not until the second stringers stared going in did pacific get anything going. Also the stadium is awesome, really cool atmosphere for D3 football.

Didn't really listen to the online call but I know Chapman has a very diverse media and film program so not surprising to see someone calling the game who doesn't know what they are taking about. Chapman grads created the show "Stranger Things" so that should tell you everything about the weirdness .

Either way Chapman is 1-0.

Nervy win for Redlands against George Fox. Redlands was in control the majority of the game, but critical mistakes cost them and kept the game closer than it should have been. A lot to clean up, but a good win against a well coached, upper tier NWC program.

Calcat and I were in attendance.  I agree--Redlands should have won that game a lot easier than they did.  Here's my take:

It was obviously a first game for both teams but Redlands looked more polished and experienced than Fox did.
Fox's defense looked pretty stout against the run for most of the game but Redlands found success throwing the ball for much of the night.
George Fox's offense was pretty vanilla and Redland's D did a nice job of keeping them contained.  Had the Fox QB been a little more accurate on some long throws the game could have been different as the WR got behind Redlands DB several times but either couldn't make the catch or the throw was not where it needed to be.
Redland's kicker had a good leg (as we already knew) but his accuracy was off last night (he barely made one FG that bounced off the post and fell in but he hooked another attempt wide left).  Fox's kicker went down with some type of leg injury and was seen on crutches later.  They had a RB attempt to take over kicking duties but he was then seen limping and holding his calf muscle.

All in all, a pretty good game.  We joke a lot about George Fox attendance numbers but they brought a respectable crowd to this away game.
Go Cats!

I watched the Chapman game and didn't think either team looked very solid. 1st qtr both teams exchanging the ball and D for both teams was good, but the OL (area I watch) wasn't very good on either side. 13 Sacks in the Game and it was all pass with very little run, even though Chapman has a couple of guys that could run. I'll just put the stats up and you guys decide. As for the commentary on the game, the one girl actually did well, but The other one OMG sounded like she was reading from a script "strange things" LOL. Sacks, Red Zone conversions & 3rd down conversions are an indicator for OL effectiveness.

Lol Astro the other girl is a guy, he was there last season as well, does pretty well, better when he has someone who does not spout inane BS and sounds like a cut out of the Valley Yeknew! and hopeing that Pacific will come out of the locaker room for the second half because they look like they are so sad.
I did like what their QB had going, I understand he's a transfer.

UR, it was clear they were the better team over GF and I agree the margin should have been greater. Maynard will clean up the slop. I really like UR db crew. They covered well and move to the ball. I think the defense looked good. UR was able to play a lot of base defense.  On offense, I like what they did with the TE, GF clearly had not covered the ball going the TE this much, because in the past UR did not throw much to him. GF backers clearly had not practice finding him and the FS was late.
QB looked good for a first game and his legs will continue to put pressure on Defenses. Of course the marque game will be LF...so stay tuned.
On a side note, I see some things never change at UR, they left their tackle to take on the All Am defensive end, one on one. The kid gave up just one sack so a good night for a guy who got little help ( a chip, arm, rb) . I had visions of LF games a few years ago leaving 55 one on one.

Watched Chapman on one of my three TV's set up! I really like the QB's performance. He is going to be tough to stop. Chapman surprised me but Pacific looked pretty weak so tough to gage. Pacific could not run the ball is an understatement.

CMS let the game slip thru their hands, I was not impressed and LV, man what a waste....looked sorry.

CU's QB is a transfer and had D1 potential out of HS. He has kicked around but seems to be at home now which is great for the kid and great for the team.
Need to clean up the OL play but man how about the front 7. 9 sacks?? -1 rushing yards?? Can't remember a game where Chapman just controlled the LOS like that. The Panthers have 1.5 weeks to clean everything up before a really good test up in WA.

LoL, sorry about the gender mixup. I had to turn off the volume to watch the game. after the 1st Qtr Chapman OC seemed to adjust to the weak side rush and rolled him out to strength and he did well. I like that RB I think #2 he just couldn't get loose past the LOS or 3yds down field. Pacific's OL was out of shape and just died after mid 2nd Qtr (and that is being nice), DL for chapmen came off LOS hard. Next weeks game with Whitworth will be a better read.
