From the Penthouse to the Outhouse in seven days. Maynard must be throwing up. No clue how to get O line to hold blocks longer on the running game. Take away the RB and drop 8, make QB chuck it and he will...game over...Time to recruit smaller and more agile linemen that can stay on run blocks and get to a backer.
Offensive staff needs to be concerned...long term

Very difficult to win when you only run 57 plays and the AB goes 11-25 passing.  All is not lost.  Chapman and Pomona loom at the end of the season for CMS.  Two tough games to finish out the year.

I think the way the SCIAC works is last team to not go to the playoffs gets the spot, so even if Chapman beats CMS, CMS is going to the playoffs

If it's a three-way tie where everyone split with the other -- which I know is what you describe here, but just clarifying.

Lets see what happens after this weeks games the picture will be clearer. I don't think Chapman beats CLU at home, and if that happens the following week at Redlands will be a D showdown. I do think Chapman beats CMS with a better O and thats the way I hope it ends up at least. Fun football in the west, very fast compared to the Midwest.

QuoteGet hyped for the return of the Occidental Football team as they match up with CMS on Oxy's 2018 Homecoming Weekend.

Oxy still hasn't acknowledged on its website, Facebook or Twitter that they lost to Chapman 62-0 last Saturday.

Get hyped. Yeah, right.

Redlands v CLU will be the game with the most on the line this week...and not necessarily for the two teams playing in the game. Redlands has the longest shot to make the playoffs, but a Bulldogs win is a big help to CMS who then doesn't HAVE to win against Chapman to get the auto bid (though they would HAVE to beat PP the following week if they lose to the Panthers).

I don't think CMS will beat Chapman, I don't think they can keep up scoring wise. So a Redlands loss to CLU would put Chapman in the driver's seat if that prediction were to hold true.

Either way, does it really matter when a likely trip to Belton is the reward? I'm kidding, I would love Whitworth to head down there at some point. I think it would benefit the players, coaches, admin, etc. to see what it takes from an athlete standpoint to be an actual title contender. Not to mention they'll get to see what is possible (however unlikely) from a facilities standpoint too. It will be a "learning experience" for the west coast team involved...

Yeah, we have nothing but lumbering oafs out in the midwest.

I remember St. John's being actually quite "small" back in 2006. Very well coached, few if any mistakes, always in the right spot sort of team. But not lumbering. I hear the Tommies embody more of the oaf persona you speak of...
