NWC  is where the sciac goes to die again  :P

To be fair, I think it could be revised to "First Round, where the SCIAC goes to die".

Absolutely. I thought we were talking playoffs (insert Jim Mora) but you are right, the NWC owns the SCIAC.

Not exactly

desertcat1, if you're going to be a sore winner, at least be an accurate one.

I wonder if at some point soon, my beloved Poets will end the football program? It seems that they just cant even become remotely competitive.  thoughts?

Stop complaining. By the way, what is one step below "remotely"?

Irony is last Whittier teams that somewhat  competed with half the teams in the SCIAC was Jellerson's ...but he could not keep his mouth shut and was fired.

My lame brain tells me it was 2017 season that all NWC teams won their games against the SCIAC. No?

Not sure about that. desertcat1 certainly had plenty of time to look that up this past Saturday since all he was doing was watching and listening to the broadcasts of playoff teams.

I believe the WC athletic department administration is committed.  I am certain the WC's previous president was committed to the program - she supported all sports to the extent that she would don the Johnny Poet mascot costume - she was a visible fan.  I know nothing of the new president and her view on athletics, I am hopeful she will continue her predessor's enthusiasm.

Bottom line though, losing like they do is not a good look.  Mike Neale is coming up on year 4 which means the next 2 years will feature - for the first time - seniors and juniors he recruited.  They finished with a 53 man roster...that's precarious.  I hope Neale cracks the code, but he still has a long way to go.
