Wasn't able to watch the game yesterday, but nice response from Redlands with the convincing win at CMS.

Man this is painful, because I think the UR season is over...as far as the playoffs go...

Our little out-of-the-way conference gets an automatic bid. That's it. Anyone who thinks the SCIAC will get two teams in the playoffs hasn't been around very long.

Sorry, UR. (Not really.)

That's looking too far ahead. Can you instead predict Oxy's next win against anyone other than the Mexican team?

I think that's a really unfortunate way to view tournament selection.

Anyone who hasn't been around long hasn't seen the SCIAC produce a runner up with a profile that is competitive in the at-large pool.  The SCIAC has not been shut out of at large bids historically- they sent two teams in 2011.  2013 Chapman had an appropriate win-loss record, but didn't have results vs ranked opponents or a competitive SOS.

There's no conspiracy against the SCIAC, they just haven't produced a second playoff worthy team in quite some time.  Redlands, despite all of this naysaying and negativity, presents very well in 2019.  Better than any SCIAC runner up since 2011 Redlands.

BTW, hats off to PomPitz

That was a fun game to watch...unless you are a fan of defense.  The P-P QB was electric and Cal Lu could not stop him one bit.  The Cal Lu QB was throwing it all over but they made too many mistakes to win the game.  Fun game all around but Pomona should turn the sound off on the stream if they are not going to have commentators.  I say this because of the constant ringing of cowbells throughout the entire game, and the fans who liked to yell "BULLSH*T" when a call went against them.

I did make it over to Merritt for this game last night.  Odermann was fantastic.  As was de Leon for a half.  Cal Lu not even trying to run though caught up with them in the second half as P-P was able to just come after de Leon and he just didn't have the time to get the ball downfield.

I think the consensus here is that the SCIAC is wrapped, but P-P hosts Chapman on 11/2 and while Chapman will be a huge favorite in that game, a lot of wild stuff has happened under the lights all over D3 this season and anything can happen, especially with a talent like Odermann.  If the Sagehens pull that one off, you wind up with SCIAC chaos.

Pomona has really improved as a program. Not surprised at all they beat Cal Lu.

SCIAC chaos is kind of the norm, or so it seems.  Speaking of Chapman, Oxy hung with them longer than I expected....

I know you're becoming a bigger curmudgeon by the day...but UR has a very real shot at an at large if Linfield wins the NWC. Which, I hate to admit, looks likely with how Whitworth has played this season
