I know you're becoming a bigger curmudgeon by the day...but UR has a very real shot at an at large if Linfield wins the NWC. Which, I hate to admit, looks likely with how Whitworth has played this season

So if Redlands and Chapman win out.... and Linfield wins the NWC.... how likely would it be that both SCIAC teams would have a home playoff game....? or would they send Linfield to Chapman and Redlands to....? Pretty sure Linfield won't get a home game.

In regards to the playoffs, I think there are three or four wild card births, I never really pay attention since its not realistic for second SCIAC team to get in. I still doubt it.

In regards to Saturday's game it went pretty much to script. Interesting how CMS kept jumping our RB, and virtually left the QB not accounted for when they ran speed option or zone read. Once I saw CMS could not run the ball, and forced CMS to go up top taking away hook to curl it was over.
They D line kept good pressure on the QB. Their QB is going to be a good one. He will be really tough his last two years in league. They landed a good one there. CMS was just too weak up front and had no chance. They need to buy their qb more time.

Man, Watched some of CLU...how the talent has trailed off at CLU. I will do some snooping around to find out what is going but they are not remotely getting the bodies they used too. I still think Chapman is 17 points better than PP. PP Qb is very talented, but Chapman will move the ball on them at will.

Looks like Whittier is a bit more scrappy this season, of which the league needs.

This year there are 5 Pool C (olddog's "wild card births") as Pool B is no longer a thing.  And to answer Bluenote's question (again), if Redlands and Chapman both get a spot (assuming Chapman finishes the season undefeated and Redlands with one loss), I think the NWC champ goes to Chapman and Redlands goes on the road to whichever location needs a matchup (Texas might be likely).

I do think UR will keep the hammer down longer on opponents just to show domination to pollsters..etc...for that outside chance. Linfield and WW need to do the same.

You don't think Linfield has scored enough?   77-22 and 77-0 in the last two games.     And the next two could be high also.   Aside from Redlands, the Wildcats two toughest games will be the last two.

Despite those high scores, they are not a lock on the NWC title.    They have need for improvement.

If UR gets a bid then I'll admit I was wrong. But I'm not going to be wrong.

Redlands may not get a bid, but it won't be because of where they're located.

As much as it kills me to say, I think Oxy is right. The only good sign I see is Harden Simmons has a loss already and they have not played MHB..
but the bias is real.

North Central, Bethal, JC, Wesley, HS, Platteville, St Thomas....all one or two loses and ranked above UR, plus a couple more upsets of the highly ranked un-beaten like NCC situaton...result is UR is out...

The top 25 poll doesn't have anything to do with it.  We need at-large selection 101 around here.

Some will just not ever be talked out of the idea that the west coast teams are victims of bias which is fine, but at the very least you can get the logistics of selection correct.  The Top 25 isn't any part of the selection conversation.

Redlands has a decent SOS.
If LINFIELD wins the NWC, even better.
