Danny Ragsdale dropped 600 yards and 7 touchdowns on APU in 1999.

That was a wild game. APU 59, UR 52.

I played with Danny, he was a major twat.

Interesting. Ragsdale was awesome, but I didn't know that being a major twat was one of the qualifications for winning the Gagliardi Trophy.

Rino Marconi was the best QB to play for Redlands in the last 25 years. I will die on that hill.

Are YOU Rino Marconi?

Negative

Yep, In regards to Azusa Pacific, they are on a similar path as Chapman ... I can remember when the SCIAC played them in preseason games.

Nonconference, not preseason. There, I said it.

I remember the 1985 game -- APU vs. Oxy -- which featured the "Nigerian Nightmare" Christian Okoye for APU and Vance Mueller for Oxy. APU 31, Oxy 14.

They were fun to play. We beat them on the regular.

Not really. Redlands is 6-14 all-time against APU, and lost 11 of the last 12 they played against the Cougars. UR won the '94 game. Was Dan Selway the QB then, or hadn't he yet started his 10-years of eligibility playing career with UR?

OxyBob

OB is on top of it. I will amend to my time playing there. We beat them in 1993 as well, and lost a close one my senior year in 1996 (26-19).

Rcb,

You are a lying cur  dogggg..  :o ::) :'(

6-14 ,   Hey boys guess who was the pulling guard for that great running back ?  Dc1's  AA son-in- law .  :-*

You keep addressing me as RCB. Is that a typo?

No it's a great little bank in Oklahoma. Must have been thinking about he  money I will win in a few days next weekend.  The Sun will shine.  :'(

Perhaps DawgsOT57 has you and UR confused with Western Carolina.

Haha. My daughter is only 12, and is an athlete and refuses to be a cheerleader (thank god). Plus, she's too young to date QB's.

I played with Rags too, not sure why you threw the dig in there.  For what it's worth, I'm the guy that airmailed the snap over Rags head on 3rd and 4 in the 2nd qtr of the Azusa Redlands game in 99.  We were up 38-17 at halftime.  Azusas QB Neo Aoga was 6'5" 290ish and threw for 500+ yards and a ton of TD's.  Craziest game I ever played in.  And it went 4 hrs plus since there were nearly 140 pass ATTEMPTS.

I'm not a fan of individuals with outsized ego's. I'm surprised Harry could find a helmet to fit him. I'm not the only one who thought that either, but it was a long time ago so I will leave it at that.

I'm the guy that airmailed the snap over Rags head on 3rd and 4 in the first half of the crazy 59-52 loss to APU in 99.  I got moved to OT the next season hahaha.  Craziest game I've ever been a part of.  Azusas QB threw for over 500 yards too.  And he was 6'5" 290 lbs.  Bigger than any of our linemen.

I get it, for sure.  I didn't hang out with the guy, but he could flat out play football and won games for us, and that was the only thing most of us cared about.  Just really weird that you took a shot at him here, no prompting, nearly 25 years later.

That's more than fair. I'm being harsh, and can agree when I'm in the wrong. You put people in the box as you remember them. I will try to be better in that regard.

I remember Aoga. He was a gigantic individual. Great player.

I don't disagree that Chapman at 10k+ students wouldn't be a good fit for the SCIAC. I do however believe the SCIAC will stomach it. Without Chapman the SCIAC would only have 7 schools that play football which would make playing even a 9 game schedule painful for any program.

You could be right that things change in the next 10 years but for the foreseeable future i don't see how SCIAC football thrives w/o Chapman in the conference.

In about 1995 there was a poster on the SCIAC board who was pretending to be all knowledgeable about the SCIAC.  Eventually he revealed himself to be a student at SOKA University.  He was sure they would eventually be part of SCIAC.  I think their website even stated that.  This guy carried on so much that I think Pat finally banned him.  I wish Oxy Bob had been around then.

Soka University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Meteorology and Climatology, but the catch is you have to be a snowflake to get into the programs.

I will be very surprised if Redlands gets selected tomorrow due to Wisconsin Whitewater losing today. Four points from a perfect regular season, and most likely sitting home.
