3) Pat C, how could you of all people forget the NCAA is all about $$$$...the whole regional process is pretty much a shame,

Never once forgotten. But when the NCAA said they set aside money to help break up brackets so conference teams didn't have to play each other in the first round, I took it to mean they would spend the money, not sit on it.

Nothing that can really be done, Pat. The SCIAC just needs to start winning some games, no matter who they are playing. Redlands will get their shot, that's for sure.

RFB.

I think our DC will have a solid game plan and keep us in the game, our linebackers can run so hopefully stop long plays and make them earn it...He loves to take away your favorite plays and lets see how MHB adjust. Will the offense score is the issue, I will do some sniffing on our frosh RB. You are right his speed matches up. In regards to offensive line, I still think the difference is we have better athletes 1 to 5, and our offseason program is really serving us well. The SC has been their 4 or 5 years, it is apparent in person our players are in football shape. This is a better O line than we had in 2016, better QB, better RB group with MC, better WR depth. 2019 team is about 7 points better than 2016.
If we can run the ball to any degree we have a chance to slow MHB offenseive time on the field. I have not watched a lot of their games, but what I have seen they appear to be one very small click not as good as last year or 2016...I would expect a couple trick plays by UR...
What will our OC do differently, if he thinks zone stretch plays will work, Maynard should not let him back on the plane.

Don't smoke, just drink Oregon Pinot, I will clarify...better athletes upfront compared to the last team in the playoff  (2016). Our D line in 16 is comparable but not as deep, this O line is better 1 to 5 than 2016. Three starters from 16 team would not start on this O line.

Well, Sam Riddle will not be coming through the door to score 3 tds in the 2nd half to wipe out Chapman's 14-0 lead and send them in a tizzy.
We'll be fine.
(unless that Redlands officiating crew's on the field)

Redlands will need to move the pocket and get Nathan Martinez rolling out a bunch to counter UMHB's size and speed advantage. Mason C. Has been inactive the last two weeks, so hopefully he is available because Redlands will need his quickness on screens and counters to help slow down their blitz packages.

First time I can remember that Redlands will have some size on the OL/DL to matchup with what is usually a huge disadvantage for Redlands. They will still be undersized in comparison though. Anyway, the game still needs to be played, so let's see if Redlands can pull the upset.
The Cru dont blitz much. They just line up and challenge the man in front of them. Redlands will have a challenge but I am sure they will be more than a worthy opponent to the Cru.

I can't wait for the game this Saturday. I'm glad the SCIAC is getting recognition which they should after their performance this year vs Linfield and Whitworth... the team that is coming up is George Fox. The whole nation will be watching! Love the playoffs... just glad we made it! Good luck to both teams!

Also kudos to Redlands... I think they have a good chance to knock off UMHB. They have the beef on the lines and a great offense and defense.  Their QB is very athletic and a great runner and passer.

So you don't believe they are a worthy opponent or they don't blitz much? Not sure I need oceanfront property in Arizona when I have some in Texas.

So do you actually attend the games? If so then you must not be watching the same game that I am watching. The Cru have been getting better slowly but this by far is our weakest team that we have sent out in recent years. Graduation, injuries, deciplinary actions, and other reasons have all contributed to this but it is a fact. Can they gel and get there? Sure they could. Could they lay that proverbial egg and get beat? Sure they could. Their margin for error is slimmer this year by far and that actually makes the games more exciting to watch.
