Good season, Chapman!  You had some playmakers on defense.  44 is a beast!

A tradition unrivaled...
MIAC Champions: '32, '35, '36, '38, '53, '62, '63, '65, '71, '74, '75, '76, '77, '79, '82, '85, '89, '91, '93, '94, '95, '96, '98, '99, '01, '02, '03, '05, '06, '08, '09, '14, '18, '19, '21, '22, '24
National Champions: '63, '65, '76, '03

78Red isn't?
I came away impressed with the size of the Johnnie defensive backs. Line backers seemed to be lean and mean.

Erdmann acts like a G Trophy winner. His tightrope throws remind me of young Joe Willie.

Writing on the wall Panthers not turning 3 turnovers in 1st quarter into more than 3 points.

Is anyone in this whole d3 world going to the game in Orange besides me?
I kept looking for you. I was down on the field with a camera.

Agreed.     St. Johns defense was far better than anything on the west coast.
Chapman 37  Whitworth 30
Linfield 31   Whitworth 31
Chapman 48   Linfield 48 (end of regulation)
All defenses gave me too many points.

St. Johns 55   Chapman 26
Mary Hardin-Baylor 43   Redlands 14
Neither winner gave up as many points.

To compete with The Top 10 national powers, the west coast teams need MUCH better defenses.

But we played them much closer than Chapman.... and we would have beat them this year.

Wait...

SJU beat Chapman, who beat Redlands, who beat Linfield.  So, Linfield's maybe a #4/#5 place finisher in the MIAC...

Doc it was nice meeting you at the SJU game and thanks for sitting on our side:). The re setting of the LOS was huge for us and will need to be done this week against a primary Run offense.

Nice season by Chapman. I think UR would have matched up better against SJ because of our team size, but SJ is better than both teams. Chapman had to play flawless and win the turn over battle, if not game over.

Chapman needs to work on team size. I know its easier said than done, but the difference was huge. Whittier and CU were the smallest teams in the league. I can't recall a team with Chapman's size doing so well, I know the issue there is talking to staff over the years is just getting the numbers, due to admission standards.

Hey Olddog.  Can you explain the schedule alliance to us?  How do they determine home teams?  What happens if a team has already scheduled a team and then is assigned that same team by the dictates of the alliance (e.g.  Redlands schedules ups in week 1 for a home and home but then it turns out they also have to play ups week 2 because of the alliance)?

From reading some of the feature articles, it sounds like a lot of the teams still standing have several D-1 transfers on their team. Could that be the secret of a deep playoff run in these times?

Nothing on this?  I am really curious how this works.
