Congratulations Chapman on that top 10 finish.
Don't hang your helmet on that.

No reason for Chapman not to be a top 10 program moving forward:

1. Orange County
2. Good school
3. Good facilities
4. Weather
5. Hottest women on the planet (See #1)

RFB you are right about the above, plus football only locker rooms and weight room....for the recruit tours it is a plus.

The only kicker holding them back is admissions. It is getting tougher to get in every year (30 plus ACT in most cases), plus the aid to some races with good grades and decent income, is not that much.
So you find a poorer kid with really good grades or a big rich kid....Hence why CMS, PP, and Oxy lack depth across the front lines. I like Chapman current approach in trying to be the quickest team in the league.

Interesting move by Whittier, they are locking tuition for at least a year.  Most schools raise tuition each year.  Is that a sign they are desperate?

1) Sign graduating with major debt is stupid
2) Sign the value of the product
3) Sign Whittier made a fundamental change in student body and now reaping the rewards, the rich can afford to pay...what a concept ....Schools that are next LV, UR etc...
4) State now offers two years of free JC and very soon if you go this path two free years of state college...has to put pressure on prices

Pretty cool week for a couple of former Cal Lu coaches....

Dave Aranda wins a National Championship as DC of LSU, then gets named as the new Baylor head coach a few days later.  Aranda graduated from Cal Lu but didn't play there.  He lived with Tom Herman while at Cal Lu.

Cory Undlin, a former player and coach at Cal Lu, was hired as the Detroit Lions defensive coordinator.

Gotta agree on the hottest women boast, but I think some of the Texas hotties run in the top 3 (Oh and for those who see this a a misogynist post and may be clutching pearls, I'm talking about.. uhhhh body temps.. yeah that's it!)

If any SCIAC athletic departments need help fashioning a statement about canceling their football season because of Wuhan Virus, then I suggest they contact Oxy, which is a seasoned pro at it.

Why did you call it Wuhan Virus?

The Wuhan virus first became known in Wuhan, China, and that locked-down city is the epicenter of the Chinese epidemic for which we are now under a totalitarian lockdown. As of today, the Wuhan area has accounted for 95% of all the cases in China. So it's the Wuhan virus, like the Ebola virus was named after the Ebola River in the Congo, or Lyme disease was named after the town of Lyme, Connecticut, or West Nile virus was named after the West Nile district in Uganda, or MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome) was so named because it originated in Saudi Arabia, or Legionnaire's disease was so named because it occurred among people attending an American Legion convention in Philadelphia.

Also, the news media, such as The Washington Post aka The Jeff Bezos Tribune, referred to it as the Wuhan virus:

What the Iowa disaster and the coronavirus have in common
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/02/07/what-iowa-disaster-wuhan-virus-have-common

From now on I will refer to it as Kung Flu.

Yes -- that is a Feb. 7 editorial. Super dated, as was your use of the terminology, which is why I pointed it out.

Its no longer PC and I do not mean Pat Coleman...to say those types of things, but Bob makes a great point. We could have thrown in the Spanish Flu.

Or German measles, or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, or Stockholm Syndrome, or Norovirus (Norwalk, Ohio), or Marburg virus (Marburg, Germany), or Zika virus (Zika Forest, Uganda).
