Anyone know about Lincoln University in Oakland, CA?  They are playing Whitworth this weekend and have a pretty ambitious schedule with Stephen F Austin and some other NCAA D2 schools.
Lincoln College does not have a football team.  You must be referring to Lincoln U. in PA?

Dr...

Thanks for the update, glad CLU had a strong showing, I really like that place for a college game.

Lincoln does have a team, out of Oakland. First year NAIA team. They will be playing against ACU and Ottawa etc...the name of that league escapes me. Push for improving athletics at the school.

If you're a good passing team, that south wall so close to the end zone is still dangerous.

"Beginning fall 2021, Lincoln athletic department will host three main sports Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer and Football."

"This semester we have over 80 football players enrolled in school,
practicing, and ready for our first season. We will also have men's and
women's basketball teams. Our roster is growing, and our schedule has
been solidified," said Lincoln University's athletic director Desmond
Gumbs.

They will play Willamette next week.

They just hired Gary Payton as their first men's basketball coach.

Doctor D, here is why Occidental being dismantled is shameful.
This guy was so fun to watch.
I'll let OxyBob let you in on how those storied seasons ended, if necessary.

Wow.  Touching tribute.  Sad story.  Thanks for sharing.   I think that college football needs Oxy and other small programs because of stories like this.

Very moving. Thanks for posting this.

So it looks like Lincoln College is now Lincoln U/Oaklanders?  I see they have a schedule, but not under Lincoln College website.  Good luck to their inaugural season.

They have a very strange athletic page.   No roster posted for example.

I heard UR had 170 players at the start of camp. Those are Mount Union type of numbers. School enrollment is down across the board. No one will ever admit it but you know the instructions were to welcome them all. Given this the case maybe the SCIAC should go to a JV program to boost, LV, Whittier, etc...

Lastly glad to see WC playing, the concern was WC would drop football during the Virus for real financial reasons unlike Oxy's weak ass reasons. UR is trying to add more commuter students to boost enrollment (a lot of programs being offered, the irony is as these schools turn into one big unisex bathroom, they still need to find a way to pay the bills.

Cal Lu had about 130 at opening of camp, so numbers increased.  Is that due to 2 recruiting classes?  I think they have about 115 practicing.

Coach Maynard begged for years for a JV team, but the administration did not want to work hard and get a bigger locker-room built.  There are alumni that would have supported that, but the current athletic administration turns a lot of them out of the program.  The current locker-room is split between many sports and the new athletic building will do the same.  Very short sighted by athletic and school administration.

I read this and wondered if any Oxy students were seen in the area.

My son's roommate and team QB went to HS at Norco and knew one of the 13 deceased soldiers from Norco HS.  Sad situation and terrible to vandalize any tribute to our fallen troops.  Oxy liberalism I assume was your point OxyBob?

specifically--he was referring to the time an American flag display was destroyed by Oxy students on the Oxy campus.

Dr. D, your new the board, some students set out a bunch of small American Flags as I remember as a tribute to dead from the 9/11 attack. Lib-tards pulled the flags up. There was also another incident where students left or turned their back when the national anthem was played before a UR game at Oxy.
Now I will say the team never did anything like that, started to come onto the field with an American Flag etc...

It was pathetic, I was sitting next to some ex military, one fellow had a purple heart from Korea and I felt really bad. They were really upset.
