Dr. D, they ran the RPO very well with a very good running back, since then UR defends it a little different. Its why they play the game, it was a major upset for LV to beat UR...They earned it that night on the field, can't take it away from them. Their recruiting has fallen off since then.

Old Redlands Football camps are becoming the number one prep camp in the IE, maybe So Cal...It's crazy, I am hearing they all are sold out. Kids from all over So Cal attending. At least 10 four year schools showing up to observe....Props to the program and reputation of the staff.

It is a good camp.  My son attended it along with other camps.  It is well run and will likely get even bigger with the new facilities you guys are getting.  Good for them.

I think the New Facilities will be a while ...When Maynard "resigned"...it lost a lot steam, then Covid.

Olddog, maybe you can make some version of your last post without all the politics. Thanks.

Politics ? Covid did not happen ? Maynard did not resign/retire? ...my point still is the fundraising lost a lot of steam due to Maynard being gone. It was almost a no brainer if he was around.

Nothing wrong with the point. Thanks for keeping it to that.

I know several folks that have pulled back waiting to see how the president treats football.

Greetings...I'm new to Southern California and am looking forward to watching football at different levels in the fall.  One question I have about the SCIAC is why are teams duplicated on the schedule?  I was looking over Claremont's schedule and noticed they play two teams twice...appears they did the same last season?  Has this always been the case?

Because Oxy stopped playing football.  Long story.

Oxy dropped football, and SCIAC teams have been scrambling to fill that game slot.  Best explanation that I can quickly give.  And welcome to the group.

Sad to report that one of my son's teammates and o-lineman was diagnosed with colon cancer last week.  Two O-lineman on Cal Lu have had cancer in the past 4 years--different types, but still scary.  Prayers to him and his family.  For privacy reasons, name withheld.

So sad.  At that age they don't know until it is well along.  Good luck to the young man.

He had lower back pain and went in for that.  It is crazy that a 20 year old can get colon cancer.  My son said that it was found early and that he should recover!
