The secret is the special teams have been getting away to that safe space a couple practices a week.

What's up with Pumas?  Is that some kind of colloquialism or rivalry shade that I've not seen before?  The TSL would be about my 243rd most trusted source for athletics news and opinions, so there's a nonzero chance they just don't know what the Chapman mascot is.

Right?  Maybe Ben Lauren needs to take a look at this:

Marvin Sanders deserves a ton of credit with what he had done with the CMS defense over the past two years.  He took the strength of the team, their DBs, and uses them to limit what opposing offenses can do.  They have given up very few plays over 15 yds all year.  Cal Lu has scored a total of 3 points against them in two games.  Can't look past Redlands, but really looking forward to the PP game.

CLU is down 3 returning starting o-Lineman and the offensive has struggle mightily, since then.  The Center and right side of the line back ups had no experience prior to this year.  The back up right tackle has struggled immensely, giving up 7 sacks in the last 2 games.  The offense opened up the passing game a bit more against P-P in a good, competitive game, but the CLU defense has struggle to stop the run ALL season.  The P-P QB Noble is quite elusive and they have a decent short passing game.  CMS should beat P-P, but we will see.

I may be biased, but this past weekend the CLU punter was the MVP of the game.  He punted 6 times for 255 yards (42.5 yard average), but he place 4 punts inside the 20 yard line and 2 punts were downed on the 1 or 2 yard line.  I think he was spectacular in a rainy, fall game.

Haven't been on here in a while...
What is going on with WC?
We were at least a tad bit competitive with most teams in the 2000's and now it doesn't even seem like they put a defense on the field... or an offense.
Looks like CMS and PP figured it out. Only SCIAC teams we never beat as a player in '06-'10 was CMS and CLU.
I hope the program doesn't fold.

Thank you! Also love the shout outs for the Punters! Pat McAfee knows how important we are!

UR and PP.....tale of two halves.

For those that watched it, it was one of the most awkward and unusual games I have ever seen.

First Half...

UR defensive games plan was to force the QB to throw. UR sat is a 3-5-3...D line was not going to put on a hard rush until the QB rolled out. UR's DC was challenging the QB to throw to his second and third read. UR figured out he was a one read thrower and could not check down or even had a check. Here is where is gets crazy, we had too many break downs at the corner spot, they made one good throw, but other times he was out of position or expected FS help. I am not sure what he was doing, but in the second half he seem to inside the WR better. UR was going to force PP to dump the ball and run power. It all worked fairly well for PP. You could see by the second part of the quarter 2, tweaks were made, the backers were getting more aggressive. Backers sat at 4 yard deep instead of 5, Inverts started controlling the numbers.
Our offense sputtered, we could not run the ball (no push and backers playing untouched). Our Frosh QB was sick, and we were struggling.

The second half was a different game. Backers moved up to 4 yards deep on run downs, inverts got more aggressive, DE bounced plays better, DB stayed inside the WR. We forced 5 punts in the second half, good returns and we are back to Bulldog Football. Pomona coach deciding to go for it on fourth down on his side was just stupid, a good kick off return, PP coach gift...gave us two short fields for the scores. Our sick frosh QB must have had an IV or something at half, he came out rolling in the second half. I am sure the DC's in the league are not looking forward to the next three years. The real MVP is the defense,....you will see CMS use some of our tactics in the last week of the season.

This team has a long ways to go, need to be ready to play 4 quarters, need to stay discipline for four quarters, but its nice to be the best 3-5 team I have seen in a while.
What is ironic UR gave Linfield its second toughest game all season.

Less than two more years of Gavin.

You guys have a chance to win it all.  I watched the game.  P-P is very average, except QB.  CMS also not as good as expected.  Chapman also down.  CLU is the worsted coached team in the conference as demonstrated this past Saturday and every game this season.
