I still think something more happen as to why Mac left...I can see how many kids would gravitate to him.

He is a conservative Christian man who did not like the direction the school and program were heading--WOKE!  That is my understanding from what the players have said, including my son.  He is coaching HS in Florida, watching/coaching his youngest son play the game they both love.

I concur with your thoughts
California, home of voters that don't care our leader lost 30b to fraud, half the homeless live here Locked you down while he dined out, and 49th in Education. Bottoms up

UR is out recruiting and inviting players. Once again push for linemen has started and appears to be the emphasis. If you watch this weekend, its all about the fronts.

It's always been about the fronts. That's the biggest disparity between great, good, and mediocre programs in D3. Redlands needs to be selling Southern California and sunshine to those players in Ohio, Wisconsin, and other states where good lineman are in abundance.

I agree that Football is about the fronts--Offensive and defensive lineman are much more difficult to develop than skill players.

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to everyone.  I hope all our teams have better years in 2023.

Apparently the SCIAC will be composed of two pods next year.  CAL Lu CMS and Chapman and Redlands La Verne and PP.  Teams will play each team in their pod twice.  The team from each POD with the best SCIAC record will play for the SCIAC championship the last game of the season.

I will assume it will be a six game conference schedule or ? UR has to play CLU every year....

That's the stupidest thing I've heard yet.  RIP SCIAC.  Well on the way to killing off more football programs.

If UR dropped football it would be really be body blow to the long term survival. FB players are very high donors, plus as you know FB brings it about 50 freshman males every year, and some kids would not come if the school did not have a football team etc.
The school if already fighting for enrollment. Throw in Bi-inflation...tough formula for families.

Everyone in the local HS world know Cal Tech, Oxy and WC athletics are a joke now. I spoke to some high school softball players from La Habra and they said no way they would go to Whittier. Word is out. My friend has a kid on one of the female teams and they are hoping their daughter graduates before it takes a dump.

Interesting, I got asked by UR why I do not donate, Is it because of the position we have taken on issues? yes...I got the same question in a survey from the college I attended too last year, same answer.

I think the Claremont schools, Chapman and CLU are in good financial standing, but not sure about Redlands or La Verne.  Whittier is collapsing in every aspect.  Cal tech and Oxy will be fine as institutions, but athletics?
