If the NWC took out LF, I think the SCIAC is a better conference....top to bottom play not that Whittier is gone.

When I moved to Dallas, I couldn't get SCIAC scores in the newspaper. Luckily I found D3Football.

Now that the LA Times won't even have TV Schedules and box scores of even UCLA or USC, what are local SCIAC Fans going to do?

The LA Times actually added back the TV schedules this week. Apparently, when they sold their printing facility it pushed up their deadlines, which made it impossible to include box scores from games held the previous days and they decided to embrace the transition from newspaper to magazine-style story paper, which most newspapers have gravitated to anyway as they have cut beat reporters in many areas.  I don't love it, but it's not like it was a surprise given how easily available all of this stuff is nowadays from the internet without paying for it.  If people were still willing to pay for it by subscribing in substantial numbers, someone would have kept doing it.

For SCIAC scores, stats, and stories, much like with most media these days, the schools and leagues have effectively cut out the middleman by posting that stuff directly on their websites and you can generally get linked to it from the SCIAC site itself.  It's really far superior to a single line in a tiny print score report in a print newspaper anyway and you can get live score reports, stats, and even streaming video, which sure as heck beats the days when you used to have to call up a score line at your local newspaper to find out scores before the paper came out the next morning.

Word is LA Times is for sale again. Its is the worse newspaper in So Cal...How the mighty have fallen. Their collapse is not all due to digital media. Why you would start telling your readers their thoughts are wrong is beyond me. Did they not know their demographics? Bunch of woke, dumba.... folks were put in charge.

The SCIAC was 4-9 against the NWC last fall.

2021, excluding Whittier ...which Sciac 8-4 versus NWC...ok 8-5 with Whittier...

So much for stats...

Now that PLU has gone down the drain, top to bottom, excluding LF...SCIAC is tougher ...Teams that seem to be getting better such as GF and Pacific have stalled out ...

I mean that's a hell of a qualifier to throw in there.

So there's 2021, yes.

What are the years before that like? You make it sound like it goes back and forth between the two but I bet the last 15 years show 2021 as the outlier.

Somewhere it was said, take LF out of the equation SCIAC might be the tougher conference.

Chapman hosted into the second round in 2019.  It was a very good year for SCIAC football.

I have concerns with the consolidation of Power Conferences in D1, it will lead to eventually they break away from the NCAA for football. D2 and D3 lose that financial support.
Throw in all the anti male, anti anglo, and wokeness of these Liberal Art schools are going....10 years from now things will look a lot different for sure in CA... The south and Middle of America will always has multiple levels of football, just could be different.

The NCAA doesn't actually get any money from D-I FBS football. There are no NCAA rights fees for that, because they are all owned by the College Football Playoff.

However, if they break away for basketball, yes, we are probably screwed.
