Early on I thought Chapman was going to run over Redlands but man the Bulldogs figured it out on defense in the second half and their offense came alive to pull away from what looked like a good Chapman team.   If I'm reading things correctly, this could be a rematch in the SCIAC championship game (assuming both team win their "pod"), right?

I watched CLU/CMS game, as well as the Chapman/Redlands games.  The announcers were extremely annoying, as you all mentioned.  As for the games, other than the QB, CLU is bad and CMS not nearly as strong as last years team.  Edwards not running like past years, but CMS QB runs strong--his passing ok.   The Redlands team dominated the second half.  Redlands has a strong RB and the OL played a bit better.  They can build on the running attack and play action will work.  I watched a few minutes of the PP-La Verne game and La Verne is terrible.  Not sure if they can even beat CLU this year, as they did last year.  Redlands should win SCIAC!

The students doing those broadcasts are doing fine.  If you're expecting Summerall/Madden for a Saturday night SCIAC game, your expectations are way off.

It was pretty bad, but that's to be expected with student broadcast teams. They need experience, and the only way to get it is through reps. However, it makes me appreciate having an experience duo in Brett Malak and Mitch McClellan calling Redlands games. They have been doing it a long time, and are very good at it.

Redlands broadcasts are very good and well called.  But like you said, those guys have lots of experience.  Live TV is hard and there is no safety net.  I give those student teams a ton of credit for doing it- particularly at Chapman with their on-camera spots and throws to the sideline.  There's a lot of production going on there and it'll be pretty crisp by the end of the year.

Redlands was much better this week on offense, so good on them for the response. Defense was poor in the first half, but made the necessary adjustments and were much better in the second. A good head coach makes sure his team is prepared and ready to go from the jump. While Redlands got the win, they were not ready to go, and that will cost Redlands against better teams like the previous week against Linfield.

Fair enough--but the constant overuse of phrases like "honestly" and "most definitely" became a huge distraction (for me)....

Last Weekend.

Student Broadcasting, it was horrible, "to be honest with you" with Chapman being the worse due to the young lady doing the color. I was felt sorry for her and CU allowing her to look so bad. CU uses great equipment but never get the broadcast out of first gear.  Do they ever do practice games where they broadcast and listen back,? . I get they are students, but last year the fellows that did Chapman's broadcast appear to have some football knowledge and were trying, maybe one even played some in HS. I listen Sat Night just for the humor effect since this is not life and death issue, "Seriously". The gems kept coming all game. "They got there as fast as they can", "We need to get fired up like the first half"

The game. The UR run game improved, I am not sure if a mix of its Chapman and not LF or both. I think both. Our O line got off the ball much better, reached linebackers etc...they moved better and got a push. Chapman, I have know idea what their DC was doing. Chapman is small upfront. Running a four man front and putting your little ends right in front our our buffet eaters was a gift. Sure they made a couple plays, but all we had to do was get to one backer and our RB's made plays, either made a guy miss or could not be tackled one on one for at least 5 yard gain. Our QB played much better this week, just better throws except one. I guess a running game makes him good, who would have known. Coach Good takes a lot of heat as the OC on this board,  he out schemed Chapman, many times Chapman was caught in the wrong scheme, bringing heat on a screens or quick hitter. A couple third quarters first downs were just scheme alone. He clearly knew what Chapman wanted to do each down and distance.

UR defense, it really played well. Chapman hit a couple homeruns. I am sure our DC is all over the corners to follow the scouting report. Chapman QB loves to throw deep, stay on your man.  A couple plays were just great catches. Chapman could not run the ball effectively on UR, our backers moved to the ball well. They were ready. The biggest prop for UR was our pressure on the passer was much better, guys stayed in lanes and collapse the pocket. We only had to bring 3 or 4, QB wanted to launch the ball...UR Wins

All in all a Good win, I think our AA kicker might be nursing a injury, his kick offs were limited to a couple times and he seem to look uncomfortable punting/FG. Just my observation, I have no intell.

Pat snowflakes are destroying your business, Some parents would have used his handicap as an excuse, his did not. I hire the people between the age of 23 and 35, most with a BS and many with a masters in engineering or business. There are few studs and the get paid very well, but most are how big of a snowflake they will be and what can I tolerate. I sorry just my personal experience and observations, making this story more surprising.
