A little support for olddog on the NESCAC board.

"Colby is very serious with the athletic commitment, they attribute the significant growth in their endowment directly to their overwhelming support of Athletics, health and wellness."

Thanks Fox,

I could provide a data on donors, profile, demographics etc...but most folks don't like data that confronts their beliefs. Go study what has happened at UC Berkley and starting at UCLA...

Have a great weekend old dog, Mr dolittle and everyone else. Enjoy another weekend of football!

Somebody on the Soccer board ranked the accumulated attendance of all the teams in the playoffs.  Oxy was in first place.
My theory:  The fans went to see a football game, but a soccer game broke out.

Tuned in for quick look at the Redlands/CMS game to see the blocked punt for a TD for the second week in a row. That was enough watching Redlands football for the year.

Jim Good is 27-43 in 7 seasons as a head football coach. Redlands is not a place for mediocre football coaches to reside. Hopefully Jeff Martinez recognizes this as well and decides to make a leadership change.

In his defense, he was head coach at Hamline for four years. Winning there is impossible.

It still counts though, and Redlands is not Hamline. He's driven a long tenured, top 25 program off the cliff.

Good luck to Chapman against Whitworth on Saturday.

Indeed. Always pull for the SCIAC come playoff time.

Still think the it's shame they threw this rematch on the bracket when they easily could have swapped Chapman and Belhaven and created some more interesting first round matchups.....

Agree, but the NCAA gives zero ****s about it other than saving money

Even then, they are chartering flights for both teams...how much does it save them to swap...

Both Chapman and Whitworth have improved over the season, so it will be interesting to see the result up in Spokane on Saturday afternoon.  Thoughts?

MonroviaCat

I've watched quite a bit of both.  Whitworth seems to start slow and kick into gear after a quarter or so.  Chapman reminds me a little of Linfield in that they look really good at times and then just go flat and allow the other team back into the game.  So, I wouldn't be surprised to see chapman get a lead early and then watch it disappear as the game progresses.  I think Whitworth wins by at least 14
