Cal Lu's schedule isn't posted (that I could find) but last year they played Menlo, Chapman and Pacific Lutheran out of conference.
They play Willamette, at PLU, and Chapman.

I think it is called Kickoff but it isn't out yet.  There is a link on the homepage you can check out.

Eye of da TIGER

I look forward to stepping down as a player and becoming a fan, especially for this '06 season.  My good friend El Tigre points out that Pomona could be a sleeper, but I would like to add that Whittier might be the biggest sleeper in the SCIAC.  Although their record has been less than great the last couple of years, they have played everyone tough especially in the '05 season.  I look for them to turn some heads possibly next season.  The Oxy, Cal Lu and Redlands games will all be good.  I think Oxy will have a much different approach to the SCIAC crown this upcoming season.  In '05 Oxy won most of its games with offense (41.2 pts a game) yet i believe the key to '06 will be the defense!!! There is so much talent on the defensive side of the ball for Oxy, look for them to have the number 1 defense in the SCIAC.  Of course Andy Collins returns, and he is bigger and stronger than ever  :o, so the offense wont be sooo bad either!!
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. 4 is the smallest squared prime. 4 is the only number in the English language for which the number of letters in its name is equal to the number itself. 4 is also the number of titles in a row the tigers will have in '07!! Go Oxy

Good point about the Poets Eye 'o Tiger . . . strange year in '05.  Whittier won only 2 games, including a real close one over Colorado College.  Lost close ones to stinkers, but played Oxy and Redlands really tight . . . losing to the Bulldogs in OT.  Was that because the Poets rise to the occassion or because Oxy and Redlands eased up a little?  You'd have a much better clue than I.  What do you think about Pomona?  Seems that they may have had some potential last year, don't know what they have in the way of returning starters.

Whittier also has a new head coach this year,  their D Coordinator steps into that role.

And where are the Cal Lu faithful?  They're usually a pretty strong presence here.

The preview magazine is awesome.  I know most of the guys ordered it last season and it was really interesting and gave tons of insight on the teams around the nation.  Keep up the good work Pat!  While I disagree with Eye of da tigers prediction about Whittier I do feel he has an excellent point about oxy's defense being their strong point for this season.  Even though they had a huge loss by graduating three time SCIAC defensive player of the year Mike Bryant I feel that this will allow Anthony Ostland who has been put aside due to the Mike.  I feel that Anthony is as good if not better than Mike Bryant and will definitely prove himself in the SCIAC this season.  The defense caught a luck break when two players (Kyle Stowers and Tim Tanous) decided to return for one last season.  These will be two players that will bring huge leadership to the defense.  The D-line has always had a great rotation so all of the young guys have had enough playing time not to be new to the game.  The line will be led by second team all-SCIAC Scott Ferguson.  As for Oxy's offense, it will be just fine this season with Andy Collins returning at the helm.
O.C. RAH!

Thanks, man. We just had a meeting on Kickoff 2006 last week and are starting to put the wheels in motion.

I attended the So Cal Shrine game tonight and watched the Redlands QB recruit very carefully.........

He has a great pocket presence, strong and accurate arm arm and runs over DB's like they are bowling pins.......and dont tell me that it will be different in D3...these guys were all big, strong D1 recruits!  He was awarded the MVP for his team.  He is going to be a good one.  The other kid is an lb who will probably move to safety and he is a hitter.........two good recruits for the Dawgs!

Im not but I have watched him play the last two years...I love the intesity...my daughter cheered for his school.

She will be attending Redlands in the fall.  I hope she cheers again so I have an excuse to go see her on the weekends, and watch some football.

I have been talking about the Qb recruit because thats all I know about the Redlands program right now.  So .....go with what you know!

I know his dad to say hello to, and I saw him at the game talking to what appeared to be part of the Redlands staff, they were wearing Redlands polo's anyway.

I should have asked them if they woud give my daughter a scholarship, she could cheer, do laundry, call plays, answer the phones, anything............. and save me $40,000 per year.
