All of the talk about bad beer is making me want to stroll over the YardHouse for a nice cool Blue Primo Hawaiian Hefeweisen . . . .

tooth

Sounds good to me.  I'll meet you there.

Well Oxy Os....we finally agree upon something.....I will be in my favorite wtering hole on Friday....Maui!!!!  A little fishing, a little golf, many Mai-Tai's and even more......Rolling Rocks! ;D

It's been a long day - I'll see you guys there too.  Happy hour is just starting, hopefully everyone is making it to their favorite watering hole in the next couple hours.  ;D

Sabretooth Tiger

Glad to hear that Dobber's going to be part of the staff this year.  I hear that he's shed a couple of those extra pounds as well so he's looking more like his old handsome self from back in the day.  I've known Bill since he was just a freshman. (Why is the Blues Brother's movie starting to run in my head?)

Sadly, no watering hole for me today . . . well, not entirely true . . . I've got a few Sierra Nevada Summerfests waiting for me in the home fridge . . .

I'm thinking that the local SCIAC and NWC boys should get together for a cold one (or two . . . or three) at the YardHouse, Barney's or Lucky Baldwins sometime in August to kick off the year . . . whatcha all think?

Good idea.  DIII fans in Southern California need to stick together.  I get sick of hearing quasi USC/UCLA fans acting like they know something about football.

OXY Oswald

dgd,

It took me a minute, but I found where you wrote.  Maui sounds great, enjoy the vacation.

Tooth,

Count me in.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

OK boys, I'm thinking Wed afternoon Aug 9 . . . one week before the kids report for camp . . . I'd say the 16th (day 1 of camp) but don't know whether I'll be in town.

Any preference on which watering hole?

DGD:

Where in Maui?

perhaps you got me mixed up with another poster. All I vaguely referred to is Wildcat 11 finally let you know he's noticed you and is here.

I, like many others, enjoy your mid-summer night dreamy enthusiasm on this SCIAC board. You actually kick started it.

Furthermore, RFB has acknowledged you as well and is also keeping his, shall we say, distance. A Bulldog ally of repute will come in handy amongst all the confidence of the striped ones.

OXY Oswald

That sounds good to me tooth. We'll see what El Tigre and Eye say - I know they're both in the area so I'm sure they're interested.
Go TIGERS!!!

HMMM.................... of course, sounds like a great plan.  Im heading to a lil place called Cabo Cantina in Westwood right after i get off work!! So you can count on me being there the 9th or whenever!!!
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. 4 is the smallest squared prime. 4 is the only number in the English language for which the number of letters in its name is equal to the number itself. 4 is also the number of titles in a row the tigers will have in '07!! Go Oxy

I would have to agree, but while the new lights not fix the problem they definitely make it 100 times easier to see the field.  I will have the honor of being able to watch this season from an alumni view and to be honest I am quite sad about it, but at least I will have Eye and Oswald there to share a beer with me.  I know everyone else on here is just as exited about this season as I am.  All the SCIAC teams have stepped it up a notch and I am sure every game will be interesting game.

Just a side not I hear through the grape vine that Bill Dobson will be coaching the Offensive line for the tigers.  Bill Dobson graduated in '82 and has been around the program ever since.  He has switched back and forth between O-line coach and offensive coordinator.  He has also been the coach of the offensive line for the Los Angeles the last five seasons.  I know him personally and if it is true that he is coming back to his alma mater then I am sure the offensive line will be more than ready come September 9th!

If I had a say in it Bill Dobson would be promoted to Oxy OC immediately. He was hands down the worst Redlands OC over the last fifteen years. He had the horses to run the gammit and turned an offense capable of playoff damage into a conservative, predicatable piece of crap. Oxy can have him.

RFB...What do you think of O'Boyle?

From reading the summaries on d3 and the Redlands web site, I got the impression that the Qb Saras cost them at least two games...is that accurate?

OXY Oswald

Good thing he's not our coordinator then... dodged a bullet there  :D
Go TIGERS!!!

Just dropped in to say Congratualations to Andy Collins ,Tigers QB, for being selected as a pre season All American.  I can still clearly remember all the wizardry he pulled against us in the play offs last year.  He is an exciting spellbinding player to watch.
I hope he has another great season

El Tigre

I really enjoy seeing the different conferences come together.

As for getting together and having some drinks I am all for ... I can definitely do Aug 9th, but just incase some of the oxy guys didn't know Oxy is putting on a little thing called meet the coaches Saturday Aug 12th.  I know Eye and Oswald should know about this ... just got it in the mail.  I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing it after or if anyone is actually going to go.  What does everyone else think?

As for the waterhole ... Yardhouse is always good, but hooters is always fun because of the eye candy! ::)
O.C. RAH!
