That Redlands weather is spreading everywhere.  I can't believe it was actually 118 in Woodland Hills this weekend!  It's terrible.

Any smog? :'(

Well, just how much did it cost you to have someone post that score for you?   ;D ;D

Was stationed in Oahu years ago,  loved it.  enjoy your vacation.

Any thoughts on where to play in Kona Beach?  I'm heading out there in a month...

Dawgs;

can't speak for off Oahu, however, Turtle Bay resort on north shore was nice.  Other thing to do is see if you have a friend or contact who is military or retired military.  The military base courses are usually well kept, great price, and a lot of fun.  Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station has three holes right along the beach, near Pearl Harbor is the Navy-Marine Corps course which is also very nice.

All this talk of golf and Hawaii . . . dudes, if you're in Hawaii, you must pursue the sport of kings . . . surfing . . . on second thought, forget that . . . stay out on the links, wack the ball, stay as far away from the waves as possible.  Encourage your friends to do the same.  Remember, the ocean is there for you to look at, not to touch.

Dawgs,

First off I find it hard to believe that you are posting while you are in Hawaii, you must really enjoy this board.  As for Wabby, he looked like he put a good touch on the ball, I'll give him that.  Yet, as for him running over the DB, while i tip my hat to him for being a QB that has the cajones to run over defenders, he probably outweighed that poor kid by 50 lbs!! He is huge for a HS QB, I mean at 235, Wabby probably outweighs everyone on the Oxy defense with the exception of maybe 2 D-lineman.
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. 4 is the smallest squared prime. 4 is the only number in the English language for which the number of letters in its name is equal to the number itself. 4 is also the number of titles in a row the tigers will have in '07!! Do they make a board for a 6'4" 270 lb former OL?  That's why I never went surfing with my buddies when I was in SoCal...And I don't mean Mentone Beach.

dawgs57...
you will not want to put out the 800 bucks but an 11 foot Mickey Munoz model Surftech should do the job.

Ah Dens, you remember what I ride (I'm actually on the 10'6") . . . though for dawgs57, I might go for the 12 ft model.  (Note, have gone to SurfTech website and can't find the 12 footer . . . it may have been discontinued).

I'm hoping to hit the waves to test out the new hip in August.

Suggest you join all the old fogies (Fogies. A dull old fellow; a person behind the times, over-conservative, or slow; -- usually preceded by old.) down Tin Can Beach way. That's where they all go now that James Arness and buds are no longer holding court at Old Man's at San Onofre.
We youngsters get out of your way.

Haven't you seen the shirt?  "Old Guys Rule" dude . . . glad to hear you groms respect your elders . . . (well, you're not really groms are you? . . . and you're certainly not kooks if you have the good sense to get out of our way).   ;D

I like Cardiff reef, San O is just too crowded in the summer . . .

Where's Tin Can Beach?

The MIAC talks about cheap beer while the SCIAC talks about surfing.

Hmmm, which place sounds more exciting? ;)

I will have to agree with the rest of the board in that I can't that Dawgs is getting on the board while he is in Hawaii ???, maybe he is a stronger fan than I because I would be basking in everything that Hawaii has to offer.  Sorry to hear about the Hurricane hope it is a false alarm and you can get back to lying in the sun drinking Mai Tia's and/or playing golf.

Went to get my Mountain bike worked on today in Orange and thought I would stop in and take a peak :o at Chapman's new facility and I was truly disappointed.  When I was recruited to go there in 2002 the diagrams I was shown on my recruiting trip look nothing to what I saw when I went there today.  I will just assume that it is the normal school BS ... Oxy did it to me the whole time I was there promising the gold and producing silver.  Over all love the field turf there is a giant C in the middle of the field (similar to oxy's O) looked nice especially along with the Chapman at each end of the field.  I am not sure if the facility will ready for the first home game against Pac Lu because there are not even stands on either side, but the field and design should make for a good playing surface for the players.
O.C. RAH!

I've asked this question about a dozen times but have never gotten an answer that made much sense so I'll ask again.  Why is Chapman IND?  It seems like the play pretty much the entire SCIAC every year in football.  Wouldn't it be advantageous to be in a conference that awards an automatic playoff bid?  I know decisions aren't typically made for one sport alone but it seems like it would be cost effective to be part of a conference if possible.  It's not like they are isolated like Menlo (though even they have joined the NWC in football).
