Is there actually another guy in here going by rock?  Is that legal???

Quaker fun facts.....

Other historical quaker schools include Greenleaf High School in Idaho named after the same family, Earlham College (Indiana) and Johns Hopkins University (bet you didn't know that one).  Oh, and of course George Fox University in Oregon is named after the founder of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in England in the 17th century.

Next time you're driving through Whittier you'll see a number of street signs with names like Greenleaf, Friends, etc....all showing the Quaker influence.

Wow, did I actually take the time to share all of this???? :D  Lets all become pacificts, what do you think?

DGD,

Congratulations on demonstrating your amazing ability to mangle multiple langauges.   ;D  And I fail to see how my taste for lamb tenderloins marinated in soy, wine, garlic, pepper, balsalmic vinegar, coffee and some secret ingredients . . . then grilled over a fire until perfectly pink . . . reveals one iota of my ethnic genesis . . . save for the fact that we all eminate from the same primordial ooze.

Don't you belong at Crespi's summer practices?  Besides, you should appreciate that little history lesson considering your deep ties to Whittier.  The NWC board is slow right now because Willamette fans are all lurking in the shadows until the week of the big game.  After they get waxed they always fade out, leaving Linfield fans rather bored.

Speaking of boredom...How about a bonus Quaker fun fact...

Richard Nixon is not the only president to be educated at a Quaker college.  The 31st President, Herbert Hoover of Newberg, Oregon attended Friends Pacific Academy (George Fox University) before being part of the first entering class at Leland Stanford Junior University where he studied engineering and how to lead a nation into the Great Depression. ;)

Hey, for you former Oxy guys, how's Goltz going to be?

As far Justin Goltz goes, its more bad news for the rest of the SCIAC!! Even with the departure of Andy Collins following the '06 season, I think the Tigers will still have the best QB in the conference in Justin Goltz.  Goltz, who will be a Soph. this year, is big at 6'5" 215, and he lifted hard over the offseason, so I'm sure he is even bigger and stronger than last year. He is a true QB and has a great arm, and is tough.... the guy requested to take some reps at TE this offseason!! He didnt get to play much his freshman year, behind Collins but when he had his opportunity he made the most of it. So to answer you question Oxyfan, Goltz is going to be very very good! We are talking Wabby good!! ;)
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. 4 is the smallest squared prime. 4 is the only number in the English language for which the number of letters in its name is equal to the number itself. 4 is also the number of titles in a row the tigers will have in '07!! Go Oxy

If what you say is true, I hope Goltz continues to be patient and continues to work hard.  At 6'5", he could be quite a force when his time comes.  And, if he's Wabby good, perhaps he and the real Wabby will get to face-off in the next couple of years!
