Seriously though, I dont inow anything about the goltz kid, where did he paly in hs, with that size was he recruited by any D1 programs.....we all know that at qb, size and strength are improtant but the most important is field awareness, being ablr to make the right reads, reading blitzes etc....ask Ryan Im a flake Leaf!

He sounds like he could be a pretty good qb!

I have nothing against Wabby, and hope he has a great collegiate athletic career.  But I have to say I'm getting a huge kick out of his nearly mythical stature, and wondering how long it might be before he becomes something like this board's own Sidd Finch?

Sorry, DGD, not intended as a knock on Wabby - just a comment on how much I'm enjoying the discourse.

He may wind up being the next Andy Collins (which I am sure you now know is a big compliment) and he may wind up not making much of a contribution at all.  It's hard to say.  A few years back there was a "can't miss" RB out of Buena who got scholarship offers from every Pac Ten school. He eventually bounced back to CLU from Washington and was largely ineffective on a Kingsmen team that otherwise did a decent job of running the ball.  As many have said, time will tell.

I'm glad to have you on this board, and I think you'll really enjoy SCIAC football.  It is a much better brand of ball than many folks realize.

Hard to tell how good Goltz will be . I thought he looked good the little that I saw of him. He seems to have great vision. I think he's going to  suprise people

I think he came out of a medium sized school in Minnesota. Something about the weather being one of his reasons for coming to Oxy in his bio last year.

I dont think she is even going to try out.  She wants to focus on her academics.  I encouraged her to try out but....maybe next year.  My oldest daughter is a "Dancing Devil"  at ASU.  GO SUN DEVILS.

BY the way, Im not a Poet fan anymore, just something about purple headed poets that doesnt make it for me..

I think camp starts next week..should be interesting.

DenSLA...before I ever knew this site existed, I knew Mt. Union was a d3 power.  I realize they are picked #1 in the preseason poll.....what does that have to do with my daughter and academics?  Am I missing something?
