DGD,

Thank you counselor!

+k for you!

Just please don't send a bill with your summation! ;)

So you saw Redlands practice? At least you can get the" you've never even seen them" off your back! ;D I hope your daughter enjoys her experience at College. My son is in his Sr. year! YEEES!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Tux...the bill is in the mail...or is that the check? :D

No, the monkey is still on my back of not seeing Redlands play...I will be going to the scrimmage on the 2nd.. I will be getting my daughter situated on the 30 th when new students arrive.....it will take my wife a day or so...and several hundreds of dollars, to make the room....pretty.  I will be playing some golf in Palm Desert and will see the scrimmage on the 2nd.  I am very exicted about the upcoming season in d3.....my interest about small college football has been sparked by my daughter attending Redlands.   I will report on the scrimmage.......+k back at ya.

DGD -

D3 ball can be a lot of fun to watch and follow.  Having gone to (and played at) a D3 undergrad and SC for grad school, I have seen the differences btw small and big school college fb first hand.

The D3 game is a lot more accessible (from a cost of attendance and lack of logistical game day hassles)and although it lacks the atmosphere of a game at the Coliseum and/or Rose Bowl, the play at top D3 programs can be pretty exciting.

Enjoy the scrimmage and keep us posted.

Labert....I can see the difference from those standpoints in that my son plyed at USC some years ago.  I am curious to see what level of fan involvment there is and what the level of play is like.  On the other hand, football is football and I have enjoyed every level I have watched from youth to D1...I cant wait.

I have goneon numerous d3 school web sites and cant find a depth chart.....do they post them anywhere?  if so is it after the season starts?  Does anyone know?

labart96

I don't know about the SCIAC schools, but with the Liberty League (my old conference in Ups NY) depth charts aren't normally ready until about a week before the season (opening day at the latest).  Some schools will post their roster, but it usually omits incoming FY players - most team websites will have updated rosters once the season is underway.

Actually now that I think about it some more, I don't recall seeing too many (if any) depth charts at the D3 level.  Most squads will list their rosters and provide a season preview that will give you an idea of who the starters and the back ups are, but other than the one's managed by the coaching staff, I haven't seen any D3 teams that post their depth charts online.

You usually don't get depth charts from a team's website.

Wanted to get everyone's take on what to expect this year.  My sense is that (surprise) it's a 3-team race and that Oxy will be hard-pressed to replace a lot of studs they lost last year and the CalLu and UOR are poised to return to glory.

Like others said, it is probably a little early for depth charts.  Some teams will have them listed in the season program.  I wouldn't be surprised if Redlands doesn't have the program you can buy this fall.  I know some schools give the same program to visiting media which is of course a necessity.

A CalWho return to glory?  When did they ever have it?

I don't remember Linfield posting the depth charts online but they did have it in the program every week.  We always got the opposing teams' 2-deep on Monday the week of the game.

Haha... Good burn.

I believe CalWho won the conference in 1997, before the auto-bid, and has placed 2nd in conference the last three years.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.

Tom Brady

I believe the glory days at Cal Lu were over in the 70's, long before any of the players and coaches that are there now were around.
I did drive by campus today and saw the team practicing and they were wearing white helmets.  anyone know if there are some new uniforms in the mix? They were practicing on a nice new field (which I assume is only going to be used for practice) and there didnt seem to be a whole lot of guys out there.
