Forget the Turk, Fatima is the real scary one out there...

So the Who has a 2 game all time edge.  How many of those wins came when the Who had players on scholarship?

Sorry to burst your bubble, Dawgs - but I'm pretty sure the CLU-Redlands series took a break during the CLU's time in Division II.  I'm sure many of the CLU wins did come in the 1970's when I believe both schools were NAIA Division II.

Dawgs,
You get the password that Pat sends out and then you have the ability to change it after you enter the site.  If you are trying to log in by typing it in, then try copying and pasting it onto the site.  Hope you get in soon.  I just scanned over some stuff before I take off for an interview and there is a ton of great information on the page.

In anticipation of the upcoming Whitworth-Redlands football game, I thought I'd throw this out there.... http://www.whitworth.edu/News/2006_2007/Fall/USNewsRankings2007.htm

I found it on the Whitworth web site.  It looks like Whitworth and Redlands are well matched off the field as well.

This years Kickoff is great.  Well worth the minimal investment.  In looking at the SCIAC predictions I think they made a mistake, not in that I agree or disagree with the predictions, its just that the math doesnt add up.  They picked Oxy to go 6-0 in league and CLU and UR to go 5-1.  If both teams lose to Oxy and they play each other, either the CLU or UR  would have to end up with 2 losses.

From the national rankings they listed, I would think that they are giving a slight edge to UR over CLU.

In any event, it looks like the 3 teams will make this an exciting year in the SCIAC. ;D

Eye of da TIGER

I agree with you Dawgs, the 3 team race should make it a very exciting '06 season!  I stopped by the Oxy practice field the other day, and the team is looking good.  Its crazy to see so many players on the Oxy field, but added numbers should help the team be rested up and most importantly injury free!!  The kickoff says that Oxy's D, is going to be instrumental in leading them to another SCIAC crown, and I couldnt agree more.  The guys were flying around and making plays at practice! Look out for the Darkside in '06.
4 is the smallest composite number, its proper divisors being 1 and 2. 4 is the smallest squared prime. 4 is the only number in the English language for which the number of letters in its name is equal to the number itself. 4 is also the number of titles in a row the tigers will have in '07!! Go Oxy

eye guy.......did you see the 5-1 predictions for CLU and UR????  Think it was a mistake or they just didnt want to  predict the outcome because its so close?

rockcat

will Oxy have the football preview up by the first game?

El Tigre

Dawgs,
I did see the prediction portion that you are referring to.  I think it might be a mistake or that the two  are so evenly matched this year that it was hard to make a decision on which one will actually go.  Thus, by putting them both at 5-1 even Pat and the gang cant determine who will be second in league.  Should be a real good game assuming oxy runs through the SCIAC!  It might even convince me to make the horrible drive out to the smog infested Redlands.

Rockcat,
Oxy usually has the Preview up before the first game, but it is usually the week of possible the week before.  As we have discussed before on this board the SID for oxy isn't the fast guy in getting out the publications, but this is mostly due to the fact that they have him running around doing a millions things other then his SID responsibilities.  I can assure you that when it does get release that it will be well written and informational.  I will link it up as soon as it comes out.

To Eye and Oswald,
Have fun in Chicago and I hate you for not taking me! >:( ... j/k ;D

Tough days for Tiger Football.

From your report on practice it sounds like the intensity level has been cranked
up a notch or 2. Do you think that has to do with increased numbers ( more competition )
, team chemistry , or ?
