Browneagle......if I could smite you I would...the 3 stooges comment is way out of line. Two of those kids have been injured. Your comment lacks common decency.  You should delete it. >:(

DGI:  Chill dude . . . Browneagle's comment is not that harsh in the world of chirping, and he even noted that he was kidding!  And the season has not been a shining one thus far for Selway, Saras and Beaver (note that I did not say Moe, Larry and Curly  ;D) . . . and we all hope (I'm sure) that Saras's health is ok.  Maybe Shemp gets a look this week??  ;) :D ;D (hope the invitation for a special lemonade still stands  ;))

Browneagle:  "When you can take the pebble from my hand . . . you won't make me feel so frickin' old . . . " :D

Oxy certainly faces its first serious threat of the year.  I can't imagine that the 'Dawgs aren't seriously dangerous and up for the game . . . this is their first SCIAC outing and they very likely believe that they can run the board from here on out, grabbing a playoff slot . . . nothing can be taken for granted, and I'm confident that the Tiger players and coaching staff are in the right groove for what I expect will be a serious battle.  I still think we're looking at the Redlands-Oxy-Cal Lu troika to battle for the SCIAC championship . . . guessing that last week's Chapman let down was an aberration.  If I'm wrong and the Tigers roll . . . oh well, guess I'll have to live with it.

OB:  I missed the game but am not surprised that the D stepped it up . . . the coaching staff could not have been happy about the late part of the CC game and I'm sure it was addressed over the two week bye interim . . . I expect that the Tigers are as set as they can be for the Saturday eve matchup.

Tooth.......cmon....I know browneagle was kidding but its not fair to call the kids stooges.  That simply put is insulting....if it were your kid ...how would you feel?

He isnt talking about my kid and Im offended.  Sorry, just the way I think.  I know we all say things on the board that we intend as being funny, I do it and so do you.  When I direct a comment at you or you at me we know that each of us is joking.   Im not sure if the kids who read this board, and they do read it, can differentiate.

Browneagle is a good guy,I know he didnt mean to intentionally insult the kids, I just think he should retract the comment.  Just my opinion, dawg gone it.

Hahaha. I was kidding DGI.

I guess i would also have to mention that I'm about the same age as the youngones that are currently playing. Not to old like Tooth and yourself. knuckle heads like myself usually make smart ass comments like that, because, well we are knuckle heads, young and just having fun.

I'm a big fan of Saras by the way. I appreciated that he almost had a chance and opportunity to beat the tigers last year and made it a fun game. No harsh words to  him or his teammates.  I'm Just a little worried about how the program at UOR is not the program of the past when I was playing against them.

Ruled the pound?  Not quite - I was a bit too valuable for that...

I do miss those Saturday nights.  Wish I could put that maroon and gray on again and flatten The Who some more...

Eagle guy....I understand.....I know you didnt mean it in a vicious way.  You as a player should understand my point, you go out and bust your a$$ all week in practice and also in the game..... and despite the result....are trying your best.  Then you read a comment on the board calling you a stooge.  Its not fair.  You righted the wrong and all is well....

The dawgs will get it together one way or the other, they have talent and a great coaching staff and from watching the Chapman game...they play with intensity and pride...they never ever quit in that game and believe me some teams would have.......I am proud to be a dawg fan for those reasons.

dawgs57....ruled the pound was a compliment...I guess I should have said you were a .....stud! ;)

I'll tip back a hometown brew - Coors Original - hoping the Dawgs do the unthinkable this week!
BTW - I played OL in the Ken Miller days if anybody cares to revisit that topic.

Yeah, I figured as much, and should have edited my post, but I don't have the same dedication as I did out in the 909.  And I was only messing around with my "Studliness."  But thanks for the props, man.

Did you mention the part about the loss to Lewis & Clark?  :D

RFB

I've mentioned it in the past. That and a tough, close loss to APU kept us out of the playoffs. The loss to L&C was a weird one. We came out flat, as just about all Redlands team do and turned the ball over and found us down 29-0 at halftime. Our starting QB got hurt in the first half and we made the switch to Rino Marconi and we out scored them 27-3 in the second half. We were easily four touchdowns better then that team. We just dug too big of a hole in the first half and ran out of time.

Tom Brady

Are my eyes seeing this right??!!!!  Is that a SCIAC guy on the front page?  Congrats to Danny Jones for making the Team of the Week.

Outstanding, good to see and congrats.

Yes Tom Brady -that is QB Danny Jones of the California Lutheran University Kingsmen! Wow that is nice to see Jones being selected on the team of the week on d-3 football. The SCIAC getting some press.I think he threw one td pass to Vilnis Ezrins Stootsky. 10th straight win and 16 won of last 17 games played for the Kingsmen and 17-4 since the 2004 season. Not too shabby.Keep On Keeping on Clumen.
